There's plenty of active communities, but even they have sort of mellowed out. I wonder if everyone's going to a new journal site or just ditching the journals all together.
customers_suck and thequestionclub are good ones that are still pretty active. As in there's intelligent people still around lol

I would absolutely love to have you, but in looking through your profile, I'm a basic creature compared to you! I am pretty boring with a very simple, boring, pedestrian life. I share pictures and the happenings of my pet rats, my small life with very little in it but hitting thrift stores and hanging with my small group of folks. I'm afraid you would be glazed-over within a week. But if you add me, I will add you and hope for the best! :-D
