Quick update before bed...

A couple of things to report in recent days...

I went to see the "radical" ballet I'd helped to install 2 weeks ago last night. It was entitled: I Know and Feel that Fate is Cruel but I am Lothe to Accept This.

That's right. You read that correctly.

What can I say? Artists are wacky people.

On the whole, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'm not by any means well versed in what makes dance good, but I know I had a good time. I won't go into detail, because frankly, most of what I thought was really neat, would be difficult to put into terms that non-theatre people would understand, and even if you did understand, you probably wouldn't find it half as interesting as I did... I'd recommend people go see it, but it closes tomorrow, the last show being at 2pm.

I found myself chuckling away in my comfy chair about a half hour after the show, amused by the irony that the 1st things I do upon returning home from the ballet were, grab beer from the fridge and sit down with a peperoni pizza infront of some cartoons. The only way the dicotemy (sp?) might have been greater would be had I sat down to watch some NASCAR.

Today, I got a call from my buddy Drew, who I've hardly seen since moving to Toronto. He came to town with his fiance and my buddy Matt, who I also havn't seen in a while. My first impression meeting Sarah wasn't that great, I must say. She was apparantly under the weather, and a bit crabby because of it. As the afternoon wore on though, and she started feeling better she brightened up, and it became more and more obvious what Drew saw in her... beyond her notable physical charms that is.

It was a bit strange really. Once she loosend up and brightened up a bit, she reminded me a lot of my friend Sarah from school who I havn't seen since she left on a trip to Scotland for the summer in May. I thought briefly to myself about how I missed her, and how it'd be nice to hear from her...

What do I find in my mail box tonight when I get home? I post card from Sarah.

Very strange. Very nice, but very strange. :)
