here - some differences in lyrics, like "you're no fun, you've no manners" and Taeyeon's line about the contacts list. Kinda seems like the Korean version is a little more damning than the Japanese version (i.e. during the breakdown, Taeyeon and Sooyoung's "Told you not to fool around, told you to behave while I love you" was

The PV seems to be in higher HD or something?(Or the MV has lots of blur filters) It seems a lot clearer than the MV. The same thing happened with TMYW vs. the 3D version.
My bias probably stems a lot from how I can't not associate the MV with Star Wars. XD Stormtrooper white outfits with Sith Lord hoodies? Plus that "TIE Fighter cockpit window" from the teaser. XD Whereas none of the PV outfits or visuals set off my snark meter that way. Yes, the white outfits are still weird, but they don't have that bit sticking out at the bottom that drove me NUTS about the original stormtrooper getups.(Although heh, boobs) In the vein of "MV more memorable but PV more pleasant", despite my liking the PV outfits more the MV gangsta clothing set was definitely more distinct where the MV's are basically a redux of Visual Dreams/Jap Genie's cover outfits in the "non-descript ladylike" fashion. I don't dislike them, but I don't remember them either.
The PV seems like it was editted by a fan, as it does a better job of catching the characteristic parts of the dance, albeit at the expense of the closeups. They got Taeyeon's wink and caught more of the chorus dance moves that are the parts meant to be copied by the general public. But then they missed the great framing of the hand-phone move, which I think was more them trying to not be a recreation of the MV, similar to how the Genie PV missed some of the great framings of the TMYW MV dance) But I do like the PV angles here because it does make those parts of the dance look more dramatic and less retard dance ahoy. The second half of the MV caught some excellent shots of the locking though, including the entirety of Seo's lines of the second verse. The MV dance shot cuts seem to focus more on the sync of the entire group where the PV gets shots that bring the viewer's focus on a particular member, even in full group shots. Which is to say, the MV put in the parts of the dance that involved everyone doing the same thing where the PV put in mostly shots where the choreography itself was designed to single out a member.
Unfortunately the dance shot worhip of the PV does mean that most of the closeup shots were rushed, analogous to how all of the non-singing glamour shots in the MV sometimes obscured some of the important lines and moves of the performance. I actually liked the quick cut they through in at Jessica's pose at the beginning. And the quick cuts through the stationary closeups made them less boring and filler-y. But some parts of the dancer were repetitive and I feel like instead of showing them they should have let the moving closeups take their time, especially letting the rotating shots slow down at the end. The zoom-outs definitely felt rushed, but then again this PV feels Lupin-esque enough as it is.
Heh, I realize that when I watch these things I pretty much notice everything other than the girls.
