First impression
All right, let's get this out of the way first: CRAVER. Stop trying to get them to work with Gaga, okay!?!?!!!? XD (j/k please don't throw cake at me ;___;) But when I was joking that they were going to pull out something new, I wasn't thinking *this* - Is this their 'futuristic' concept? But the song doesn't sound futuristic? Unless they're trying to make themselves sound different like, "Hey not just techno is futuristic" (kinda like that recent article on how "black soshi represents an image")

Whatever.

At the time of this writing, no one has it in HD yet, so I'm watching LQ videos. But in my first impression, I really really *really* like the choreo because it's super dynamic. Yes, still cheesy at moments but really great. The singing... not so much -_- But according the article linked above, freakin the girls had an all day CF shooting - and we know they mean *all day* - they probably didn't sleep, they were probably practicing and all that 'cause that's what these girls do. (Btw, Ringer's solution?!? I did a quick Google and didn't like what I saw O_O JFC, I admit, I'm starting to like RDR a lot, but freakin a, SM, don't kill these girls for it!)

Girl who stole the show in this first watching: Seohyun. Yes, I know you're all surprised. But considering that she was the only one on key and *killing* her parts plus rocking such a fierce 'maknae-on-top' look (now, that might be the LQ masking the murderous intent ^^;) I was really really taken by her. But tying her is Sunny because *fuck* - did you see that kick she did during her line?! Her grope herself ala TMYW? Girl's got it going on!! 8DDD

All right, gotta go to work, but watch this space for commentary when HD finally comes out (because you get to look forward to things like the second when Yuri's hair becomes a little out of place and making her look soooo sexy~)

General thoughts on the choreography
Three phrases I kept shouting out while I was watching: "Hyo-fucking-yeon," "OMG, Sunny" and "Kwon fucking Yuri" - seriously. Those three. So awesome. I also found myself like totally throwin' my hands up at certain parts because I liked it so much. I don't take back what I said about the choreo being cheesy/awkward at some points, but damn, it works so damn well! The formations - like those intersecting lines (first seen at 0:23) - so creative and dynamic! And then the *transitions* to each formation - amazing! So many of those transitions are spins, and a lot of the girls are spinning to a different point and damn, they hit their points so well. Such great teamwork and sync - it blows my mind. (Also, totally love that end diagonal line - the hip roll to the sidestep?! So awesome 8D)

You know, it wasn't until my 3rd or so watching of the performance that I realized that they were performing with hand mics. I was *so* impressed! This choreo is so focused on the hands, but they were able to use hand mics! Really awesome. (And they have little knuckle gloves! So awesome 8D I have a thing for gloves, okay. Hush.) Forgot to mention: I love how ghetto the choreography gets at times XD Definitely near the end, leading up the the faux-rap and during that part, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Yuri give off this awesomely ghetto vibe. Totally love it!

Before I get into the epicly long minute commentary, I have to say that I'm *so* happy that this song is in a much more comfortable range for their voices. Love love love this lower range~~~

Minute commentary
0:00 - 1:23 (opening to the first chorus)
- Goddamn the cheers are loud!
- The backing instrumentals are too soft, hrmph, but that's always a problem on MuBank (though I have to say, there wasn't that much fail from the camera! Good job for once, PD!)
- Though I wasn't amazed by her today, Jessica did a good job opening with a steady vocal and a some attitude to set the tone (Yuri's voice however, following Sica, showed that they weren't at all in top form)
- 0:22 In contrast to Sica, Yoona wasn't fierce enough at all for my taste -_-;
- 0:26 While I was watching just Seohyun, I'd been ready to write that she's probably the least that's 'feelin' it, but at around this time, she's throwing these awesome eyes and I had to stand corrected XD
- 0:30 Over Taeyeon's shoulder, Yoona gives one of her only good faces this whole performance. I want more attitude like this Yoong!!
- 0:39 For some reason, I really liked the choreo here, for Tiffany's "perfume" line
- 0:40 - 0:45: LOVE how Hyoyeon executes the choreography at 0:40 - 0:41! See how she's the only one moving like that?!? Watch her all the way through when the camera cuts to Sooyoung (~0:45) - see that shoulder roll and that attitude? Now back up again and this time watch Yuri. She does a lovely body roll at 0:43 and throws out such a great devilish smile~ (HyoRi is such a dangerous combination, mmmmmmmhm!)
- 0:45 Wish Sooyoung'd had a little more oomph in her line but damn is her face and attitude awesome!
- 0:50 Dangit, Hyoyeon, find your bedroom voice! (And that hand behind the head move reminds me so much of Takarazuka XD)

1:24 - 2:27 (first chorus to lead-in of the faux-rap)
- 0:57 Sunny, girl, work it. Workitworkitworkit! 8DDDD This was definitely one of those times when I was throwin' my hands up.
- 1:02 Dammnnn does Yoona go low during that "haters to the left" move O_O!
- 1:09 Taeng should've just done what Seohyun did later during her chorus, not even attempted to do the chest move. (Also there's something about her face that's throwing me off - I think it's the lack of bangs and how light her eyebrows and eyes are...)
- 1:13 Spot Sooyoung's awesome face there over Taeyeon's shoulder? There's sooo many awesome shots of her throwing some great attitude over people's shoulders that it'd be ridiculous to list them all. Just watch out for them!
- 1:23 Super wish Hyo had ended her "Run run" line going down instead of up (bedroom voice, Hyoyeon! Bedroom voice!!)
- 1:26 Okay, I totally f-ing LOVE that look Seohyun does - so simple but soooo HBIC. *Maknae on top!!*
- 1:31 Sadly, Tiffany kinda lost her bitchy attitude during this line, so instead, watch Yuri behind her, and just keep watching her to the end of her own line - she just looks like she's enjoying herself soooo much 8D
- 1:47 Now switch your gaze back to Tiffany because she's got a *great* face here at the beginning of the chorus
- 1:50 Don't bother looking at Yoona here, go to Taeyeon 'cause she bites her lip and goes into the choreo and mmmhm~
- 2:00 I'm *so* taken by Sunny's eyes, it's not even funny; such a sex kitten!
- 2:04 Though Tiffany's not as sharp at the choreo here (compare to Sooyoung who's to the left of her, both of them behind Sica), her face is awesome
- 2:13 This lead into the faux-rap is wonderfully ghetto XD Totally love it. Would love Tiffany even more if she was on key ...

2:28 - 3:21 (faux-rap to the end)
- Okay you all should know by now that I do *not* like that damn faux-rap crap but the girls work it; they definitely have the *right* girls working it. Sunny's attitude is so awesomely bitchy (that look to the side!) and the way Hyoyeon delivered her lines such ferocity! So awesome~
- 2:35 Though Sunny doesn't do the move here as crisp as Hyoyeon does it, I like the force with which she throws her arm at the choreo here
- 2:37 Super super love how ghetto that move is XD!
- 2:39 Sunny's face during that whole pointing thing just makes me grin
- 2:45 Okay, yes, here, when Yuri's doing her line and the kick, I find it incredibly hot how that lock of hair comes loose, especially when coupled with that *grin*~
- 2:52 Though it was a little breathy, I did like Sooyoung's delivery of her line here (and during the faux-rap). She also throws out a surprise wink at 2:53
- 2:55 This is why Seohyun is still at the top half of the list of "girls who rocked this performance" - she *owned* this chorus vocally and I love it soooo much!
- 3:05 Though Taeyeon didn't hit her notes at all at 2:50, she does hit the "you better run run run" here, which is awesome
- 3:06 A couple things to watch here because this is one of my favorite parts, this hip roll-side step move: First, when they've come together for that diagonal line, Yuri's near the left side of the screen and has such a great face, man. Now, in the far shot, look at Sooyoung in the middle, working that hip roll like nobody's business. (It kinda helps that the spacing is uneven; I think it might have been Jessica's fault XD)
- 3:07 Now, look for Yoona - yes, Yoona! - near the left edge of the screen. She gives out this smile that turns just slightly into a smirk. Then back up and watch Tiffany because girl's got diva all over her face like nobody's business there during Jessica's lines.
- Lovelovelove how Taeyeon ended this song - such a great attitude and THANKYOUFORNOTLILTINGOMG. I have to glare at the fail ending shot because it's such a bad angle; still, not as fail camera work as I was expecting XD

Individual member and closing notes
- Taeyeon: Loved her HBIC attitude but damn, you could tell she was tired - she was half-assing the choreo at times and her voice was definitely not in top form. It was okay for some of her lower lines, though, giving her a nice little growl. Leader, get better and give us more HBIC, k?
- Jessica: For me, Jessica was kinda lost in the shuffle - she wasn't bad, but she wasn't amazing either. She's already half-assing the steps and her vocals weren't that great ... Step up your game a bit, Sica. It's okay to revive some of that Ice Princess attitude~
- Sunny: What can I say about this girl that hasn't been said?! Girl's working it like nobody's business, throwing eyes and hips and revisiting her self-love groping tactics from TMYW and just being an all around BAMF. Keep it up, Sunny <3!
- Tiffany: So freakin glad that she wasn't giving us blank stares! Loved her bitch attitude, though she has to work on keeping it throughout. She's also not as sharp with choreo (i.e. during the 'whipping' choreo, she's just punching the air), but that's not exactly surprising XD Loooove her curves~ Tiffany, just get back on key and I'll love you long time 8D
- Hyoyeon: Fucking love watching this girl OMG - hitting this choreo like no one else, with that face and those hips, love how she executes all these moves 8DDD (especially her turns! I'm a fangirl for tight turns omg) All she has to do is find her bedroom voice and man, she'll be exploding screens even more XDDD!!
- Yuri: Definitely up there with Hyoyeon in being a great joy to watch during this performance. A bit shaky in the vocals as well, but damn, does this girl have such a great persona here! It's different from the HBIC attitude that HyoTae are pulling out, or even the sex kitten Sunny's pulling out or Sooyoung's charisma - it's, well, devilish. I mean, the way she grins and smirks, she's totally owning and loving the stage, the concept, the song, just everything. Kwon Yuri, continuing to be so 'family friendly'~~
- Sooyoung: I was going to point out all the times I saw her throwing out those great eyes, but damn, it'd be *everywhere* - seriously. Everytime I looked for her, she had such a fierce gaze - behind people, at the edges of the screen - I loved it! She and Hyoyeon just need to get together and strengthen their voices 'cause that's all they need to improve on.
- Yoona: Instead of "flatfish face" I'll just start calling her "incongruous face -_-; I mean, even Seohyun was better than her in terms of facial expressions! I just need some fierceness, some anger - or take from Yuri's book and have some devilish joy! Girl's mischievous - channel that here on the stage! So frustrating ...
- Seohyun: Still loving maknae here. Yes, still a bit awkward during some of her close-ups, but that's only in gestures. She's tamed her murderous gaze thank god and damn, is her voice on point here! I really hope she's able to keep her voice in good condition because maknae be rockin' it~

All in all, I thought it was a great first performance. Though the vocals weren't at their best, the girls were rockin' the concept. The choreo definitely works well live - it makes for such a dynamic stage since it's constantly moving and uses so much area. It'll probably pose some problems like TMYW at smaller stages, but still - such a great song performed live. (Oh, btw, so happy they did white costumes on a black background - I'd been worried they'd do white on white and just be washed out O_O)

Anyway, hopefully the girls will get a bit of rest - like, actually get some sleep O_O - so that the lives can improve 'cause I'm definitely going to be watching more of these lives now!!
