So....as per my last post, Sir is out of town all week. He'll be back late Saturday, and off again on Monday morning. Le sigh.
Last night I stayed up till 5 a.m. reading....a book I just wanted to read. It was awesome. So long, grad school. I've jumped through all the required hoops, and I think I should be good to go. I'm still waiting for grades to be posted so I can see my final GPA, but I'm all set to graduate. My diploma should arrive in the mail in six to eight weeks. :)
Despite the late night, I've been very productive today. I went to Athens (two hours in the car) to turn in my giant pile of library books (which took about five minutes). I taught my lessons at the studio, then I went grocery shopping. I got a whole bunch of great stuff, that will hopefully keep me from eating a lot of fast-food crap. Came home and combined putting away the groceries with a major clean-out of cabinets and refrigerator. I had stuff that had been in there embarrassingly long...like a small amount of cereal in the bottom of a big box, that my sister insisted was mine when we moved out from the farm. She put it in one of my kitchen boxes when I wasn't looking. [That would be, yes, a YEAR AGO in December. Since it wasn't mine, I never ate it. It just sat there taking up space. Anyway, that and a bunch of other crap....GONE!!!]
I also bid a sad farewell to the glorious flowers that I got at my recital. They were no longer glorious and had to be interred. So, my kitchen and living room are now all clean and organized. I need to put away a mountain of clean clothes in the bedroom, and organize all my leftover school papers, etc., off the dining room table. Then I will just bask in the loveliness of a clean and organized space.
Suprisingly enough, my period turned up right on schedule today. That almost never happens, despite the aid of artificial hormones. While it sucks, I guess I might as well get it over with while Sir is gone.
I'm off to the store to get my refill of the Pill and pick up some three-ring binders to store all my music history and music theory notes. Then I'll come home and finish the apartment-wide organizing project.
