And obligatory Who babble... I FEEL LIKE THERE IS SO MUCH I WANT TO SAY, but I'm going to see Toy Story 3 fiiiinally in about twenty minutes so I suppose I should make this brief.
I did manage to get through more of my rewatch while at my sister's (Iiiii might possibly be the worst sibling ever, muahaha, but after watching three episodes she is now determined to see the rest of S5. And she also ships OT3. VICTORYYYY), and it is all doing my head in in a way that makes it more insane the second time around. So much recurring awesome, with mirrors and choice and knowledge and rewriting history... I really want to find myself once more at a point of being able to write up smart responses to TV, because I feel like there is so much juicy meta there about the nature of storytelling, how we manufacture fictions for ourselves, how we fiddle with the impossible-but-true... “What if we had ideas that could think for themselves? What if, one day, our dreams no longer needed us? When these things occur and are held to be true, the time will be upon us: the time of angels.” LOVES IT. OMG.
And then of course there's that certain knee-deep-in-fandom stage where every song I hear clicks with me in a magically resonant way. I really don't have enough at this point to solidify into any coherent fanmix/fanvid -- but, okay, isn't the entirety of Björk's Debut hopelessly Eleven/Amy? YES, YES IT IS, DON'T EVEN ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT THIS. I got started on it with "Venus as a Boy" (His wicked sense of humour/ Suggests exciting sex/ His fingers focus on her/ Touches) but then going through the whole album start-to-finish is just ONE GIANT CHRONICLE OF THEM. Well, "Human Behaviour" is just Doctor-ish in general, to the point where I can't quite believe that a fanvid of this doesn't already exist:
Click to viewAnd, yarrrrghhhh, my countdown to TS3 is already up. :/ I take waaaay too long to type up anything. Um! Other quick thing I wanted to throw in there! I KNOW I USE ELO'S TIME FOR EVERY SCIFI-TIME-TRAVEL FANDOM OF THE MOMENT, BUT IT IS SO DAMNED APT FOR THEM. TWILIGHT, HELLOOOOO:
