I should be asleep, like, yesterday (literally yesterday because it's now in the wee hours of tomorrow! Err, today, that is), but I just have certain feeeeeeelings that need to be aired, predominantly of the Doctor Who variety.

(But first, quick plug -- super awesome Legend of the Seeker Kahlan & Cara post! Oh how I miss them already! Okay, now back to Who!)

SO, RIGHT, WHAAAAAAAT. I know I mentioned before that I was trying to content myself with the BBC America airing schedule in being three weeks behind with new episodes, but after "Cold Blood" I JUST COULDN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE. I GAVE IN, COLLAPSED LIKE A CHEAP RAINBOW-STRIPED NYLON CIRCUS TENT AFTER SOMEBODY HAS DROPPED A FIFTY THOUSAND POUND MARSHMALLOW ON TOP OF IT. GUYYYYYS WHAT ON EARTH, I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE IT, HOW IS THERE ONLY ONE EPISODE LEFT??

Okay. I know it sounds really obvious and self-evident, but I just want to state for the record that I SUPER DUPER LOVE THIS SHOW RIGHT NOW. After so many years of being aware of the show but utterly failing to engage with it, I finally get it, and it's just a giant ball of imaginative fairytale wonder, and THANK YOU, ELEVEN AND AMY, FOR JUST EXISTING IN GENERAL. Even though I think there were a few weak episodes this series, and even as I am getting back into earlier series and wrestling with issues that I have with the franchise as a whole, I just want to say -- LOUD AND PROUD -- that I love them. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. Let this be the implied backdrop to whatever cranky/emo meta may follow: LO-O-O-O-O-O-OVE.

Gosh, I don't even know where to start, though! I've hardly written anything about this season at all. Um, I guess I'll start with what I watched today?

The Lodger: overall, kind of disappointing! It was a cute fluff episode that made me smile allllll over the place, AND MATT SMITH YOU AND YOUR AMAZING PHYSICAL PRESENCE, DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY BUT I COULD TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE REALLY AN ALIEN, I MEAN THAT IN THE BEST SORT OF WAY -- but it was definitely more a plot built around laughs than the other way around. Also, ummm, needs more Amy (but doesn't everything?). I think there was definite potential for cool parallelism of the Doctor being stuck living as a human and trying to figure out unfamiliar surroundings, while Amy is stuck living as a Time Lord trying to wrangle the TARDIS; but the Amy/TARDIS bits never got much beyond "hit knobs and flail about on the railing." I'll be honest, this mostly disappoints me because I HAVE A HUGE GIANT CRUSH ON THE TARDIS and am so so so curious to see every bit of it, and I want there to be an episode of nothing but them wandering around every bit of it, AND THIS COULD HAVE BEEN THAT EPISODE (okay, we did get a good trapped-in-the-TARDIS story in "Amy's Choice," BUT I WANTED MOOOORE).

The Pandorica Opens: I HATE WHEN I HAVE NOTHING BUT CAPSY REACTIONS TO GIVE, BECAUSE I SWEAR I AM CAPABLE OF BEING A REASONED, INSIGHTFUL, AND ARTICULATE PERSON, BUT SDLFKJA;LSFJKA;LFJOWIFJAKLSFJALSKFJA;LSFJ;ASF WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
Seriously, seriously, I should be asleep already, so as quick as I can THE BIGGEST OMGWTFAWESOME THINGS:
-the entire opening sequence. YES YES YES YES AND ALSO YESSSS.
-River Song. HOW DO I LOVE THEE. Haters gonna hate, but I get so THRILLED BEYOND THRILLED every time she shows up.
-And, just, in general, how Indiana Jones-y has this series been? SO INDIANA JONES-Y. AND IN ALL THE BEST WAYS. (Automatic River association thanks in particular to this; the whole nerdy/sexy professor who's a badass in a bowtie; "why did you say 15 minutes" Amy having echoes of jilted Marion; and basically the entire sequence as they're going underneath Stonehenge, I was just like... man. I feel like I am watch a super awesome, super nerdy Indiana Jones movie. THANK YOU, LIFE.)
-RORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I MIGHT HAVE WHOOPED AND PUNCHED THE AIR AND SWOONED JUST A BIT. I... okay, okay, okay, I NEED TO GET OFF THE COMPUTER so I will save the Epic Shipping Confusion for later, but let it be said that I have insane amounts of Amy/Eleven feelings that I'm not quite sure what to do with because the format of the show dictates that they can never be together!!1!!1 emo pain!!! and I know and accept this BUT, GOD, JUST LOOK AT THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND TELL ME THAT THEY ARE NOT IN LOVE -- NO, YOU CAN'T, BECAUSE YOU WOULD BE LYING; but then it also shifts to this gorgeous romantic friendship that I'm perfectly happy with; and, OH MY, AMY/RORY, they have crept up on my heart so steadily; and Eleven's giant mancrush on Rory is so legit, it's not even funny; BUT, GUYS, HOW WILL IT ALL END UP. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THESE FEEEEEEELINGS. Thank goodness for places like got_my_boys (speaking of, Amy/Rory/Eleven fic rec!). In summary, I always like to root for the Stuffy Fiance/underdog ship, which puts me staunchly Amy/Rory; and I never wanted to root for the schmoopy I Will Change Him And Adore Him Forever And Ruin Him For All Other Relationships Doctor/Companion ship (sorry, residual Rose/Doctor annoyances borne out of my Martha fixation at the moment), which should also put me staunchly Amy/Rory; BUT BUT BUT BUT WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS.

WHAT, TELL ME. WHAT.

Maybe I'll just have to deflect my feelings to Matt/Karen. SPARE ME THE "RPF IS CREEPY" SPEECH, I DON'T EVEN CARE, THEY ARE AMAZING AND MAD HOT AND SO CLEARLY ADORE EACH OTHER (which... interpret as you will, but it's there mmkay). The number of times I have to bite down on my fist to keep from EXPLODING INTO A SUPERNOVA OF SQUEE while watching Confidential is... well, it's a lot, okay?

MY HEART. OH, MY HEART.

AND, SERIOUSLY, THIS FOR AMY/RORY/ELEVEN FUTURE Y/Y/YYYYYYYYYYYY????
