My continued adventures with the fire alarm

Even though my school is ranked #12 on the Princeton Review's list of worst college food, I've quite enjoyed our meal selection over the past few terms with very few exceptions. This year it has been even better, because they recently hired a new pastry chef who is just... guhhhh... I think she is dedicated to making sure every new student puts on ( Read more... )

Yeah, I know! I honestly don't know why people whine about the food so much, because it is really pretty good, especially when it comes to school fare. I mean, I'll be the first to admit that there is some stuff there that isn't so great, but there are always enough choices to where you can find something good to eat... I think people just need something to complain about.

Yessss Richard Armitage!! I am gearing back up for Robin Hood (oh it is so awful and cheesy, and yet Marian and Sir Guy have seduced me into watching it), so it seemed appropriate.

Right now I should be working on a paper for Shakespeare. We are supposed to make an argument for which character we find to be the most evil in Titus Andronicus. In the immortal words of Gollum -- YOU'RE ALL BASTARDS!! So I am having a bit of a hard time getting started on it, even though it is due on Saturday. *headdesk* Although askldf;lru4is what is this unexpected gift from heaven?? I just checked the assignment page, and the due date has been pushed back to MONDAY! Yay yay yay. ...Although really I suppose this should be encouragement for me to use the extra time I've been given, not to say, "Oh, this means I can push it off further!" Okay, maybe I'll just get started on it tonight ( ... )

I think I <3 you! YOU LINKED TO ME SMEAGOL! I can't believe I'd almost forgotten about that...

Ugh. Procrastination is an awful feeling. I share your pain. Good luck with the paper!

I'm actually not studying anything at the moment because I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO STUDY! :O I'm taking a leave of absence from uni because of this. I was planning on returning this semester but I still haven't decided what I want to do.

I think after reading a few of your entries, though, I'm leaning towards what you're doing. :)

Ooh, hehe, I guess that's a good enough reason to not be studying tonight! So far I have really enjoyed my major -- as much as I gripe about homework, my classes are far and away my favourite part of the whole "college experience." But then of course you always hear about the English major as the sort of impractical one, where you'll learn a lot in school but once you graduate and start looking for a job you'll be screwed over. As much as it frustrates me to say it, there is of course a lot of truth in that... I think the thing is that you can apply it to practically everything, so it is actually a really useful thing to study, but if you're looking for a purely literary career then your options are definitely limited. Or you could just be like me and DO IT FOR THE LULZ!!! because I know there isn't anything else I could study that would bring the same pleasure. Yay English ♥
