For the first day of school, today really wasn't all that bad. The weirdest part about it was probably the fact that it didn't feel weird at all; usually going back to school feels uncomfortable and unnatural and all I want to do is go home and eat ice cream in front of the TV. I hadn't seen Titanic until about a year ago. And then I laughed my head off. The "great romantic tragedy" part was somehow lost on me.

I don't really see the romance as all that intriguing, but costumes! Pretty costumes! I am almost tempted to watch it just for that... But I won't.

One of my HS teachers always made us do that, too. :D

That list would be Two Lies and a Truth for me - the opposite of yours, actually.

I can't believe you've already had your first day back. Crazy.

Yeah, we had to do in in English last year, which is why I was prepared for it this year.

You've never watched Casablanca? Horror of horrors! You really should.

Everybody is always surprised by how early we go back to school. However, it means that we get out of school earlier, so I get to gloat when it is the middle of May and I have already started summer vacation

I haven't watched it either. :D

Humphrey Bogart, on the other hand, is only the most genius actor after Peter Lorre. You officially have my undying fangirl squeal of 'you ROCK!' for the rest of life.

Heh, thanks. I have such a hard time finding other classic movie fanatics at my school. I have one friend who will geek out over them with me, but that is it. It's nice to know that there are other people who love them.

I know! There are so few people out there who watch them. ;_; Very tragic.

I didn't see "Titantic" until years after it was released, and I still wish I could have those several hours I spend watching it back. Then again, I also remember having fun mocking it at certain supposedly touching moments.

Mocking movies is always fun, especially at "dramatic" moments.
