As I haven't updated in a while, a little review of what I have been doing the past few days shall follow...
Thursday my mom and I went to Epcot to meet
katwm80 and her mom. My first impression: IT IS SO HOT. The most I have "experienced the great outdoors" this summer is working out in the rec room with the air conditioner off and the windows open, so actually walking outside for a few hours was more or less torture. Also, my ice cream started melting out of the bottom of my cone and dripping on my shoes. Add to that some beer that somebody spilled on my feet later (yes, people drink beer at Disney), and my shoes were having quite a day... After Epcot we went to watch PoA again, and I liked it quite a bit more this time. I still don't really like the Leaky Cauldron or the Three Broomsticks, but I think I am warming up to the Knight Bus.
Yesterday we went to the Florida Mall, and despite the fact that I am in desperate need of new clothes, I didn't buy any. I ran into
srcastikangel's mom and brother, but obviously not The Erin herself. I ended up buying three books ("Pyramids," "Guards! Guards!" and "Barrel Fever") and a CD ("Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack). Last night Nickie and I went to the movie theatre to watch "The Stepford Wives". By the time we got there, we had to go all the way down to Albertson's to park, and we had to sit in the very very front row of the theatre because everywhere else was full. I don't really know why there were so many people there, because usually the movie theatre isn't a place a lot of people go to hang out. Also, they were opening the movie in one of the front theatres instead of the bigger ones in the back, so extra people plus a smaller theatre equals no good seats. I can see where the bad reviews for the movie come from, but I actually liked it. I adored Roger, and I especially loved when they were going through his trash ("He loved this..." "Viggo!"). As I'm sure most people have said, the end was a little "meh", but the rest of it was quite well done and definitely entertaining.
This afternoon I went with my mom and my sister to watch "Ella Enchanted". I did like parts of it, but overall I thought it was just okay. It was more of a rehash of movies that I love into a movie that I wasn't all too crazy about.
Besides going to the movies, what have I done this week...? Oh, I started on "The Three Musketeers", which I am enjoying, if for no other reason, because it has a chapter entitled "The Plot Thickens" ::dumaslove:: I've also been doing more driving (gag) and I am starting driver's ed on Tuesday (double gag). Thankfully, it is only a nine day course.
