Chapter 18

Angie and Chaena looked around in amazement at the flurry of activity occurring at the back of the stage of Music Bank, where stylists, managers, and other staff were running around after the artists under their care, as they mingled around with their fellow artists, chatting animatedly about their recent experiences. The two girls broke into a run when the camera crew, who were following Super Junior around, hastened their steps.

It was Super Junior's comeback stage with a new single, and also Kyuhyun's debut stage on Music Bank; and they had to do a live filming of their newest variety show, Super Junior Full House at the same time. Walking along with the large idol group, and getting introduced to the other artists like Mithra Jin and Tablo of Epik High, were two exchange students - Anya and Eva - who were supposed to stay at the Super Junior dorms for an entire month to get to know the Korean culture better.

Two weeks ago…

Leeteuk stared wide-eyed at their manager after he had finished delivering a run-down on the boys' next filming schedule. "So does that mean that two girls will be staying with us for an entire month?" he blurted incredulously after regaining his coherency to speak. Meanwhile, the other members were chatting excitedly over the entire event. It's not always that they got to mingle with girls, especially on national television.

"That's right, Leeteuk-sshi. However, there will only be six of you who will be fully involved in this filming, since it would probably be hard for the two girls to entertain all thirteen of you. But anyway, Mr. Lee has allowed you boys to volunteer yourselves for this show, so you can do it if you want to," the manager grinned at them. "So, who's up for this?"

Several hands shot up at once. Their manager looked around in amusement, because there was a good mix of predictable and unpredictable volunteers. As usual, Heechul and Kangin's hands were up, and they were grinning widely. His eyes then fell on Hankyung and Siwon. Both of them had annoyed expressions on their faces, mostly directed towards a certain someone in the room, but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why - Heechul had volunteered for them on their behalf. Donghae and Kibum also had a hand in the air.

"Kyuhyun-sshi, don't you want to participate in the filming? It'll be your first variety show if you do," the manager turned to ask the newest member of the group.

He shook his head and flashed a shy smile, blushing lightly. "Aniyo, Shinri-hyung… I'm not quite used to the cameras just yet… I think it's better to let my hyungs do the show, since they have more experience in this field than I do…"

"But Kyuhyun-ah, then there's more reason for you to do this job," Yesung said, and received 'it's okay' as a reply.

Shinri nodded in response, acknowledging Kyuhyun's reluctance in participating in the filming, because he was still rather new to the entertainment industry. The other members, on the other hand, already have several variety shows under their belts. But what made Shinri feel absolutely perplexed was the fact that Leeteuk had his hands down, which were neatly placed on his lap. The young leader would usually be the most enthusiastic person around when it comes to variety shows, especially when the opposite sex was involved. But this time, he was just docilely sitting there.

"Leeteuk-sshi, are you feeling okay?" Shinri quirked an eyebrow at Leeteuk, and pressed the back of his hand to his forehead.

This time, it was Leeteuk's turn to look at him oddly. "I'm quite fine, Shinri-hyung. Why?" he asked, and let out his characteristic high-pitched laugh when the manager revealed his thoughts. "I just want to give the others a chance at doing these shows," he shrugged. The other twelve boys choked on their saliva at his words, all due to a failed attempt to suppress their laughter.

"More like he's worried that his girlfriend would get jealous…" Kangin snickered under his breath, and howled in pain when Leeteuk's elbow dug into his ribs. The other boys saw the scene, and knew what happened between the leader and the other male. Their bodies were trembling as they tried to hold in their laughter, mouths pressed into a thin line. Their manager quirked an eyebrow at the red-faced boys, scratching his head with a puzzled expression on his face, but decided to shrug it off.

"It's settled, then? Their flight would be arriving in two days. Please get yourselves prepared to greet them at the airport. Any other questions?"

Ryeowook raised his hand. "Hyung, I don't think our dorms can accommodate two more people… it's crowded enough as it is…" he said meekly. The other members nodded thoughtfully at the eternal maknae's words.

But to their dismay, their manager chuckled. "You'll have to find a solution to it then," he waved, and left the house with the boys' jaws hanging wide open.

In the end, after much bickering and protests, it was decided that Siwon would temporarily move back to his parents' house, and would return to the dorms for filming. Donghae would squeeze into Jungsoo and Ryeowook's room, which Kyuhyun also had recently moved into. Eunhyuk, on the other hand, would be in Kangin's room that was shared with Kibum and Shindong. Hence, EunSiHae's room would be converted into Anya and Eva's temporary room.

Angie and Chaena settled themselves into the seats right behind Anya and Eva, since the two foreign students had to be segregated a little further away from the other fans, considering the fact that it was easier to look for them with the camera. And in the short period of time that Angie got to know Anya and Eva, they clicked rather well with each other, and were almost inseparable whenever they met up outside the filming session - especially since they were bound together by a certain group called Super Junior.

"Really, Angie. I can't believe that you're actually his girlfriend!" Eva chatted excitedly with Angie in English while they waited for the show to start, but she made sure not to mention names just in case the other girls sitting nearby would pick up on their conversation.

She and Anya had found out about Jungsoo and Angie's relationship the previous night, when the other Super Junior boys excitedly showed them the incriminating photos and videos of the couple together after they've warmed up to each other's presence. At that time, Jungsoo and Angie wanted to dig a hole right then and there so badly and bury themselves inside. Needless to say, the boys were grilled by their leader after their female guests went to bed.

"Me neither! I mean, you're really pretty and all, but I was more or less expecting that he would be romantically involved with someone in the entertainment industry as well," Anya chipped in.

Angie blushed at their comments. "Well… I can't really believe it myself… Actually we've known each other since we were twelve… But since he moved to Seoul, we were separated and only met again recently…"

Anya and Eva squealed in delight. "That is so cute!" They exclaimed together, eyes lighting up in amusement. That earned a laugh from Angie.

"Um…" Chaena suddenly voiced out, effectively earning the attention of the other three girls. "Could you speak in Korean, please? I can't really pick up anything since you're all speaking too fast," she pouted.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Chaena! I keep on forgetting that you're still learning English," Angie hugged Chaena apologetically, reverting back to Korean.

"What about you, Chaena-sshi? Are you dating one of the boys then?" Anya asked her with a cheeky grin. Angie and Eva chortled when the girl's cheeks turned several shades redder. Chaena proceeded to nudge her friend's side with her elbow, which earned a painful grunt from the victim.

"N-no, I'm not… I'm just a regular fan," Chaena stuttered her response to Anya's question.

"Who's biased for Sungmin and Donghae but falling for Kangin," Angie snickered. Her friend hit her square in the back, which caused the older girl to glare at her. "Hey, you abuser. Have respect for the people older than you, would you?"

Chaena stuck out her tongue at Angie. "Serves you right."

But apparently, Anya and Eva didn't want to let Chaena off that easily. "Kangin? He's quite a bully and very conceited, don't you think?" the Russian girl grumbled, her eyes narrowing with displeasure.

"I think they would make a great pair, though. I mean, I've been observing them, and they look really cute together," Eva sighed dreamily.

"Ah- it's not- ah Anya, Eva, please don't listen to Angie!" Chaena pleaded exasperatedly, completely flustered that the three girls were ganging up on her. The girls ignored her requests, and continued laughing. And she couldn't do anything but bury her face in her palms.

The Super Junior fans who were at the recording studio nearly brought the house down when their favourite group appeared on stage, but various murmurs soon entailed when their eyes fell on the newest member, Kyuhyun. Some were exclaiming about how cute he looked; many said that his voice is really, really good; but there were also some who were disgruntled at the addition of a new member to the group they had followed since their debut days, citing 'it's not the group that I once knew' as their reason.

But what made the four girls absolutely pissed off was the fact that there were fans who were considering about submitting a petition to SM Entertainment to take Kyuhyun off the group.

Why can't these people just open their hearts and learn to accept Kyuhyun?

The thought crossed all their minds. From their various interactions with Kyuhyun, the girls found him absolutely endearing, and really nice too. He was witty at the right times, occasionally snarky, and also has the brains that makes everyone amazed. Well, he did win that Math Olympiad after all.

However, as much as the girls were dissatisfied at the comments made by the fans, they decided that it wasn't worth it to have their moods destroyed because of the incident, so they put their full attention on the boys dancing synchronously on the stage. Angie grinned widely when it was Jungsoo's turn to sing, because as promised before the show, he winked at her direction and made a heart with his hands, though it was the fans around her who squealed at the sight. Heechul also posed with a heart shape at Eva, and Kibum playfully acted out a shooting gesture, which was requested by Anya - those were special missions given out by the two girls at the backstage as well.

On the other hand, Chaena was absolutely stunned when Kangin pointed at her direction and gave her a wink as well. Her eyes remained wide-opened throughout the show, not blinking even once. Angie, Anya and Eva smirked at her expression, because they were the ones who secretly asked Kangin to do the action when Chaena was distracted by Sungmin.

After the show, they met up again with the Super Junior boys in their waiting room, and the boys excitedly asked them about the performance. The girls unanimously agreed that it was fantastic, which made the boys really happy.

"It certainly seems that the fangirls absolutely love your hip thrusts though," Anya remarked thoughtfully.

Eva nodded in agreement. "Their screams were deafening, and that's an understatement."

"Well, don't you girls like the move too?" Heechul wriggled his eyebrows. Anya rolled her eyes at his comment.

"I'm sure Angie noona does…when Teukkie hyung executes it, of course," Shindong grinned, but yelped in pain when he earned a slap to the back of his head from Jungsoo. Angie merely buried her face in Jungsoo's back, her fingers grasping the material of his shirt tightly, evidently embarrassed at Shindong's words.

"Don't mind them," Jungsoo turned around and held Angie in a tight embrace. The other boys groaned at the sight.

"Teukkie hyung! Can you please keep all the public display of affection to yourselves somewhere else?!" Eunhyuk snapped his eyes shut and shuddered, which earned howls of laughter from the others who were in the room.

Jungsoo rolled his eyes. "It certainly doesn't seem that way, especially not when you boys keep spying on us and taking those videos and photos," he snorted.

"Those serve as our blackmailing materials, Teukkie hyung," Donghae smirked.

"Anyway, Anya, Eva, did we successfully finish the missions that we were assigned to?" Kibum said, changing the topic. Jungsoo gave him a grateful squeeze on the shoulder. The two girls gave them the thumbs up, and Heechul cheered.

"But I think there's someone who's still lingering in the after-effects of Kangin's actions…" Angie said, lifting her head away from Jungsoo's chest and pointed not-so-discreetly at her roommate who still looked as if she was in a trance. Except from Kangin, the other boys quirked an eyebrow at her, giving her a what-are-you-talking-about-look.

"Angie noona, since when Kangin hyung has a mission?" Siwon asked.

Anya and Eva exchanged a smirk with each other, before announcing "we were just playing a prank on Kangin".

"Yah! Both of you-!" Kangin yelled and started for the two foreign girls, whom ran and hid behind Donghae and Sungmin, giggling as they did so.

"Take it as a form of payback from me, Kangin-sshi," Angie, who now had an arm around Jungsoo's waist and vice versa, stuck out a tongue at him. Jungsoo held her closer to him when Kangin shot a glare in their direction.

"Don't even think about it, Kim Youngwoon," he narrowed his eyes at the younger male.

Hankyung laughed at the sight. "Nice one, Angie."

"Hankyung hyung! You traitor!" Kangin shot back at the elder male.

"你在说什么?(What are you saying?) 我不明白 (I don't understand) - I'm a foreigner, remember?" Hankyung said the first two sentences in Mandarin and the final one with Korean, then stared blankly at Kangin, eliciting more laughter from the people around them. Kangin had seemed like he wanted to respond to Hankyung, but finally decided against it and left his hands hanging limply by his sides in defeat. Chaena, on the other hand, was currently as red as a tomato from all the teasing, but didn't say anything at all. She was horribly outnumbered as it is.

One of their managers, Seunghwan, suddenly entered their waiting room several minutes later, causing them all to jump in surprise. Needless to say, Seunghwan saw the position of Jungsoo and Angie's arms on each other, and quirked an eyebrow at them. They immediately released their hold on each other, and Jungsoo flashed an awkward grin at their manager. The other boys inadvertently chorused 'uh oh' together.

"'Uh oh' sounds just about right. Leeteuk-sshi, what's the meaning of this?" he glanced between Jungsoo and Angie, who was currently partially hidden behind Jungsoo's back and was peeking over his shoulder.

"Um, it's a long story…?" the young leader replied, though it came out more like a question than a proper response.

"Cut it short, then," Seunghwan stated simply, his expression unreadable.

"She's my… girlfriend…" He admitted. Jungsoo turned around and smiled at Angie when he felt her entwine her fingers with his, and gave his hand a comforting squeeze.

"Everyone here knows about it, and didn't bother telling me?" Their manager's eyes scanned all the faces in the room. Everyone nodded guiltily.

"I'm sorry, Seunghwan hyung, but we thought that we should keep it a secret for Teukkie hyung. All of us wants him to be happy," Donghae spoke up. Jungsoo nodded his thanks at the younger male, thankful for his backing. Donghae smiled back at him.

A small sigh escaped Seunghwan's lips, turning Jungsoo's attention back to him. "Leeteuk-sshi, Donghae-sshi, you of all people should know that according to the company's rules, dating is forbidden for idols."

Jungsoo nodded slightly at their manager's statement, squeezing Angie's hands gently. He wasn't quite prepared to lose Angie so soon after he worked so hard to be with her. Donghae's expression faltered when he was reminded of his painful breakup with Minyoung. Eunhyuk noticed it, and gave him a pat in the back, which was replied with a sad smile.

"But… I know that you'll break the rules anyway. And I don't have the heart to separate the both of you either," Seunghwan continued, and Jungsoo looked up at him.

"Does that mean… you'll keep this a secret for us?" the young leader asked.

"Yes" came the reply, and bright smiles promptly replaced the worried expressions on Jungsoo and Angie's faces.

"Seunghwan hyung, you have no idea how much I want to kiss you right now," Jungsoo commented with a cheeky grin.

Seunghwan blanched at his words. "No thanks, Leeteuk-sshi. I wouldn't want to get killed by your girlfriend right there."

"I know. I didn't say that I want to translate my words into actions, either. Was just messing around with you," he replied, and was followed by his characteristic high-pitched laugh.

"Why you little brat!" Seunghwan exclaimed, and started for Jungsoo. The others laughed at the commotion they were causing, shooting comments like 'kids' from time to time.
