Summery: The realization of a love that should have been, could have been and eventaully will be. This is set right after the events of  RotF.

A fleeting moment that started the inevitable; sorrow filled hazel eyes locked with glowing blue optics and a thousand unspoken words drifted with comfort, love and absolute acceptance. In the distance the san had disappeared beyond the horizon and left a million flickering lights that ignited the night sky above them.

"Sam are you alright?" Bumblebee's concerned voice reverberated through Sam's soul; leaving its imprint that would never be erased. He shifted slightly; nuzzling the neck of the Autobot. Comfortable in the arms of his love. He could feel 'Bee's spark pulsing and  humming as he laid against it. Feeling whole for once in his life; like nothing could ever go wrong.

"'m fine." Sam slurred; to content to move an inch. Heat rose to his cheeks as he felt the love 'Bee held for him flow through his veins. A few shifts and Sam was now sitting in Bumblebee's lap; head barely resting against the large 'bot's spark chamber. He felt pleasantly tired; eyes observing the skies as he watched the stars. After his emotional breakdown; which 'Bee had tried so hard to comfort him from- he was just glad that 'Bee had not rejected the feelings that had built up inside of him.

"We should be heading home Sam. It's getting late and Optimus is waiting to talk to you; it seems important." Sam nodded and gave a yelp as a large servo picked him up and then set him down. Sam watched with awe as the grace from Bumblebee never faded and in a few seconds a yellow Camero stood in it's place. He climbed into the drivers seat; fingers tracing the Autobot symbol; he chuckled slightly when he felt the Autobot give a shake on his wheels before the engine revved in approval. He kept caressing the leather beneath his fingers; exploring with loving touches; the heat in the cabin built and a happy hum came from 'Bee.

--------------------------------

Optimus Prime was pacing the hanger that housed most of the Autobots, whirls and clicks filled with the heaviest swear words in Cybertronian he could find. He was seriously upset and somehow just knew that Sam was going to be the one suffering more than ever. How could he have missed the attack on the Witwicky's residence he was not sure and all he knew was that nothing was left. The evening air was quiet and the stars above all shining; he felt a pull at his spark as he watched for the empty space in heaven where Cybertron was supposed to be. He whirled around when he felt something bounce off his head painfully.

"What was that for!" He yelled at the younger EMT unit that was just glaring at him. There was a huff from Ratchet as he bent down to pick up his favourite wrench.

"Would you stop that! We're all upset Optimus and you making me dizzy is not going to help. Slag, Optimus we're spark bound I feel everything you feel. Please stop blaming yourself; your making my own guilt increase tenfold. " Ratchet said, his voice becoming softer; his beloved was grieving and it was eating away at his processors. Ratchet had watched Optimus go through this many times and it always caused pain between their link.

"Primus has always looked out for us; Optimus. Don't forget you were his chosen for a reason. Don't doubt yourself." Ratchet was wary of his husbands constant doubt and it hurt his own spark to see Optimus in such a state.

"But I'm not...." Optimus began only to be interrupted.

"No! You are! Now calm down before I put you into forced recharge before you fry your circuits; you big pile of rust." Ratchet said fondly;  a smile stretching over his faceplates as he watched his husband come to an immediate stop. A small whimper escaped the big rig, who knew his husband could be so scary in such times and also managed to comfort him somewhat. He felt a servo on his chest armour , a comforting current flowing from Ratchet's fingertips into his spark. He felt himself finally relax; happy that his spark mate was Ratchet. The love between them leaped frantically and searingly hot with desire but he held back. Knowing that Sam came first and always would.

"Hey Optimus; what did you need me for?" William Lennox asked as he jumped down from Ironhide's driver seat and Epps not far behind. As soon as they were out of the way the large weapon's specialist was transforming and picked the two humans up. After a few words were exchanged the two rangers were silent.

"Well Shit." Epps said; his mind still trying to take in that Sam's parents were dead. They may not have know the Witwicky's well but they knew Sam loved his parents. They just hoped that Sam would be able to survive another trauma like this so soon after he lost Mikeala as a good friend to the Witness Protection program.

The silence in the hanger was stifling and the air seemed wracked with tension; the tensions only rose when a yellow Camero stopped before them and a tired looking Sam stepped out of the Autobot before Bumblebee transformed.

"Hey big guy; what going on?" Sam asked as he noticed all the optics and eyes turned towards him. Their silence wasn't as disconcerting as he should have found it. He stared up in confusion and laid back against Bumblebee's servo's as he was picked up and held against the spark chamber. The action making heat rise to his cheeks; it seems that Ratchet was the only one to notice.  A curious frown settling on the Autobot medic's features.

"Sam, I'm sorry to have to inform you about this but this afternoon..." Optimus trailed off; pain settling over him.

"What is it Optimus?" Sam asked confused. He had never known the Autobot Leader to just stop talking in the middles of a sentence. Actually Optimus sometimes talked too much.

"Let us tell him big guy." Lennox pronounced as he saw Optimus struggling with himself. Optimus  gave a nod and wandered over to Ratchet where the smaller mech put a hand on his spark chamber to try and calm his beloved.

"Sam I'm just going to say this to you. But this afternoon your parents died in an attack." Lennox said; his own voice clipped with emotion. There was immediate silence as Sam's eyes just widened and he looked at the two rangers nestled in Ironhide's servos. Everyone was waiting for his reaction but Sam just stayed silent for a long time before turning his head at the sounds of Bumblebee's distressed calls of sad whirs and clicks that spilled from his vocal processor.

"I'll be alright 'Bee. I know it will." Sam declared in a pained voice as he hugged the yellow Autobot and buried his face in Bumblebee's neck for comfort. He felt 'Bee's one finger tracing patterns on his back whilst he crooned at Sam. No one spoke, too stunned by the display that Sam and Bumblebee was showing them; Ratchet knew immediately what it was; a sad smile drifted across his features before he rushed out the other Autobots into a different hanger.

"It's about time, Bumblebee. You and Sam need it more than you can ever imagine it." Ratchet said as he walked passed the yellow Camero. Not that anyone heard him really; he just had to say it before it was too late.

"What was that Ratchy?" Optimus asked as the Autobot medic caught up to him as the moved towards their shared hanger.

"Nothing Optimus, let's just rest, Today has been an exceptionally long day." Ratchet said as he tugged the Leader of Autobots behind him. Hoping that he could at least calm Optimus' spark after the turmoil really set in.

----------------------------------

There was absolute stillness in the Autobot main hanger where Sam and Bumblebee was.  He was still slightly in shock but all he could think about was comforting Bumblebee who seemed to be taking it harder than he was.

"Hush my little Bumblebee; it'll be alright I know it." Sam said as he comforted the shaking Autobot; not minding the lubricant that was dripping from Bumblebee's optics in sadness. Sam knew that his friend was blaming himself and tried to put a stop to it but it was becoming increasingly difficult with his own emotional exhaustion that crept up on him. His own tears washing against the armour of Bumblebee in rivulets of sorrow. He felt loved; he could not deny it; but an empty sorrow ran rampant through his veins

"Why, Sam. Why are you comforting me?" Bumblebee asked before trailing off into distressed sounds that spilled from his vocal processors.

"Because you are the most important being in my life. I loved my parents 'Bee but somehow seeing you so sad for me is harder to bear than to even think about their death." Sam murmured as his arms squeezed in a comforting manner. He felt his shoulders shake with the effort to keep his emotions inside and not cause 'Bee more pain. He was startled when 'Bee walked towards the back of the hanger where he exited to his own room; his recharge berth a welcoming sight after the emotional turmoiled day that they both had suffered through. Bumblebee knew that Sam was trying desperately to hold it together for him and it saddened him that he didn't know how to comfort Sam instead. So instead he slipped onto his berth and shuttered his optics; pulling Sam over his spark chamber where he sent out pulses of comfort and love. It seemed to work as the body in his hand seemed to relax a bit before the most heart wrenching sorrow filled sobs rang out into his large room.

"It's alright Sam; I'm here." Bumblebee murmured as he felt Sam scrabbling to cling to him with all his might. His fingers unknowingly curling onto his protective armour just above his spark chamber. He felt Sam's sorrow fill him and bit back a whimper at the sudden rush of emotions that filled him. He was happy that beneath all that sorrow and regret was a shining love that Sam held for him. He did not know how long he and Sam laid there comforting each other through the worst of the pain and yet both managed to fall asleep. the night may have filled with restless sleep and haunted nightmares and many tears but they got through it together and 'Bee woke up at least times to drag Sam from nightmares and once was surprised when Sam was sobbing into him about the loss of 'Bee instead of his parents and it was then that Bumblebee realized just to what extent Sam's feeling ran for him and it made him so happy.

It's a bit short but like I said it was a difficult chapter to write. Hopefully more steamy scenes will be comming soon; I'm just deing to write them. I'm such a pervert. Thanks for reading and please leave a comment for me. I'd really apreciate that.
