The California Raisins are the Real Unholy Trinity!

I'm still shaking from the utter horror I witnessed this evening. While sitting around at shanmonster's and f00dave's, munching on very delicious chicken pesto penne, we watched 'Chain of Souls' (2001). Sweet Jesus! This looked, and sometimes sounded, like a porn... but it was worse!!! The basic plot focused on bad actresses acting as unknowingly bad actresses trying to act badly. They get captured by "Sultanic" cults and are sacrificed to the Devil. I figured a "Sultanic" cult would worship raisins. Perhaps I need to get my degree checked.

In much happier circumstances, I'm attending a Middle Eastern drumming workshop this Sunday. Not only that, but some friends are loaning me a drum. I finally get to pick up some drumming skills. Sweet! I'm also taking a bellydance teacher's workshop at Arabesque. Double sweet! I've also found some really cheap dance and fitness classes at Impact Movement Studios Inc. If I can shuffle them into my schedule, I want to check out their pole dancing and flexibility classes. G/g[od](s) know that I'm never going to actually need to know how to pole dance, but I can see transferring some of the skills to other forms of dance.

Other than horrible movies, dance class planning and laundry, today has been a slow day. I've been slow-moving these past few days anyway. Cleaning the apartment has been driving my allergies and asthma crazy. I had two fairly bad attacks today that really sat me on my ass. I'm hoping to get my misbehaving lung under control by the end of this week when my dance classes start up again. Here's hoping.

dance, illness, movies
