Da Emmys: Byrne/Laurie Edition
Dear Jesus what is up with these UK actors being glum at award shows? Gabriel Byrne and Hugh Laurie are blessed to have grown up in the hell that is Catholicism and Presbyterianism. Although I must say that Michael C. Hall (Dexter) was doing his I'm Dexter, I'm serious look at the Emmys. But these dudes seem super serious. Now everybody knows Laurie is a skeptic for fame and success. And both were taught that vanity is a sin. But, I just think they don't let awards rule their worlds. Like Byrne, acting is a job and the award is extra.
Hugh Laurie and wife Jo, looked so cute together. Despite not winning the best drama actor, he seemed like he enjoyed be there. And Gabriel Byrne looked liked he just come from a bar or was going to one.
