Ok, i finished my homework for tonight. Yay!!!
However, i finished it in detention sitting next to a friend who is there because he skipped class, while im there because i read a book in class.
Heres the scoop:
I'm in chem class (again, my gosh i hate that class) and i realize that i haven't finished reading All quiet on the Western Front for english and there might be a quiz. There are several of us doing this and of course Shang is dumb and yells at us. So we put our books away and finally start taking notes off the power point. There is one kid that takes forever to copy the notes so while we are waiting i naturally make the best of down time and get out my book again. I place said book on the chem book that is already lying open on my desk from earlier and, by habit, tilt the book towards me. Shang sees me staring at something and tells me to show her my chem book. i realize what it looks like im doing and smile and show her the book that im reading. She just get super pissed and gives me a detention.
yeah, Life is fair!
I really question the justice system of today. I don't understand how they set the rules for what action gets what punishment. I suppose that the state justice is a little better than the school, but still... I read a book in class and got the same punishment if i had just not gone to the class. I dont get it. I once heard of a guy that was sent to prison for a year for speeding. I also know of people that went to prison for less than a year from beating someone to near death. It makes you wonder where we get our sense of right and wrong. We get it from God in our common-sense. But obviously a lot of people don't listen to their common-sense. It kinda makes sense individually. But youd think that they would put more thought into the whole picture.
I don't really know what to do. I just think it is wrong to punish someone the same for a worse crime. and it just pisses me off that i got a detention for reading a book.
Just think about it and think about how you punish people that wrong you. We should try to not follow the law's bad example on punishments.
11 days!!!! WOOT!!!!
