Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Short and tiny. She'll about 4'10" and what meat is on her bones is lean muscle. Body fat is allergic to her, in all honesty.
2. How old is she? 150~? Really, its unknown. The only time she mentions her age is in comparison to Ichigo's ("I've lived ten of your lifetimes!") and that was likely exaggeration on her part to intimidate the boy. Though, thats further distorted by the fact that Kubo treats shinigami and ages rather loosely. Comparatively, she's a teenager.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Ramrod straight posture. As a Kuchiki, she likely went through the whole walk-with-a-book-on-your-head training.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Excellent. She's a shinigami, so she's training all the time, when she's not outright fighting monsters on a regular basis.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Graceful. Training aside, Rukia has been described as having a noble, graceful air about her, even when she was a child in the slums. It doesnt help that her shikai attacks are named dances, either.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? Rukia is rather attractive in that refined, sophisticated manner and quite capable of being cute. However, she doesn't put a lot of emphasis on her looks beyond the normal hygiene rituals. She doesn't think herself attractive, nor does she think herself ugly - it just doesn't register for her.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Very fair skinned, but she has plenty of scars underneath that shihakusho.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Solid black, very fine hair with good volume. She keeps it cut in a bob-like style, with fringes that spike out at her shoulders. Lets not forget that characteristic bang that sits between her eyes.
9. What color are her eyes? The anime likes to give her blue eyes once in a while, but Kubo tends to draw her with purple ones, so... dark purple.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Rukia's defining feature is usually her height, being barely taller than some of the Kurosaki twins, who are 11 at the start of the series.
11. What are her chief tension centers? Neck, lower back, and hips, but chiefly her lower back. Its the posture doing that.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? When she's not in her shihakusho, Rukia favors dresses and skirts when in the Living World. For the two months she was in Ichigo's closet, she stole Yuzu's dresses and pajamas and wore nothing else. Its rare to catch her wearing pants or shorts when in human clothes. She tends to lean towards pastels and other light, feminine colors.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Her databook information states that she has problems finding clothes that fit because of her size and Ichigo's pre-teen sister's wardrobe fit her well enough.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? As stated above, Rukia is in her shihakusho when she is tending to her shinigami duties, and her free time in Soul Society. In the Living World, she's in dresses and skirts.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? (I thought I copied the girl's set of questions >.>) In the Living World, she wears regular girl's panties.(Yes, Chappy print on most of them) In shihakusho, its unknown, since there's no real traditional undergarment for women.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Her voice is deep and strong for a woman, but she's not going to be mistaken for a bass singer any time soon.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Rukia says what she means and rarely minces her words, be it words of comfort, praise, censure or anger. Her voice normally is even and maaaaybe slightly loud.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? She had to learn modern Japanese through manga, since Soul Society and her noble education had her speaking in dialects hundreds of years old.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? Japanese, with utter fluency. She's picking up English, mostly by hanging out in the Living World and occasionally paying attention in class. But she's by no means good at it.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? With her brother and clan, she reverts to that ultra-formal and ancient speech pattern, and sometimes with her superiors in the Gotei. But around her nakama, her speech is casual and closer to the Living World slang she's picked up.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? She doesn't make a lot of speeches, but when someone needs to have their spirits lifted or their asses motivated, she can inspire with the best of them.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Mostly eloquent. But she's not immune to the stutter of embarrassment or moment of speechlessness either.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? We dont know much about her education in the Kuchiki Clan, but Rukia survived for many years in one of the worst districts of Rukongai, so she's definitely got some street smarts. In Ichigo's high school, she's kinda lazy about her homework and studies, so its hard to tell how book smart she is.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? She's good with thinking on her feet. Several times she's shown to be quick to analyze her opponents in a fight and find their weaknesses and exploit them.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Rukia will act quite rash and bullheaded when she wishes, especially when her nakama are concerned. But coupled with that is a very practical mindset. She doesn't spend her time daydreaming or having flights of fancy and she doesn't shy away from hard truths.
4. What kind of education has the character had? A brushing of traditional Japanese high school education, standard Spirit Academy training, but its unknown what kind of studies she had with the Kuchiki Clan. She clearly knows how to read and write, even if its somewhat archaic. But we can assume the usual spread of noble lady interests, among them ikebana, poetry, traditional dancing, calligraphy, and weaving. She was probably mediocre at all of them.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? Professionally, Rukia is very adept at kidou, the one subject she excelled at in the Spirit Academy. She has a pretty good interest in Living World culture, including manga, television, video games, music, and food.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert. She's only really relaxed around her nakama, possibly a few of her division mates and her captain.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Depends on the people and situation, but the girl isn't afraid to get in your face if you're certain shinigami named Ichigo or Renji and physically knock some sense into you. She can be kind and supportive in one moment and ready to kill some hollows the next.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Mostly, new people or situations has Rukia throwing up her aloof shell. Mostly its an old, ingrained reaction to living in a neighborhood where your throat could be cut at any second.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? Act.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Her sense of humor is pretty normal, if sometimes she doesn't get why her art is not as AMAZING as she thinks it is.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? Besides from chronic self worth issues, no.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? Oh boy.

14. What does she fear? Her nakama and family being hurt. Disappointing her brother.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations? She just wants her loved ones safe and happy, even at the cost of her own happiness.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? More than likely her shame over Shiba Kaien's death.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. N/A, she died as an infant and was sent to Soul Society
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? She has her sister, Hisana, but Hisana abandoned her went she couldnt take care of both of them any more. Rukia doesn't even remember her. Then here's her brother Byakuya, Hisana's husband, whom adopted her into his family. The relationship between them for the longest time has been strained, if non existent. A lot of it was Byakuya's grief over Hisana's death (Rukia STRONGLY resembles her) and his own emotional hang ups over the controversy of her adoption, but his distance and unavailability helped put a big, huge dent in Rukia's self-confidence. Recently, after Aizen's betrayal, it seems that Byakuya is trying to be a good brother now. He told her about Hisana and seems to be a bit more proactive in her life.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? Nope.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Renji. Renji is her brother, childhood friend, and the only one besides her to survive the wretchedness of Inuzuri. They have a lot of history together, and he's probably in love with her, but she's shown no signs of returning those affections beyond attempts to repair the relationship that was all but severed over the last forty years.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Kurosaki Ichigo. She walked through his walls chasing a hollow, got hurt, then stabbed him to transfer some of her shinigami power to him to save them both. There's been an unspeakable bond between them ever since.
6. Does she have other close friends? She's friendly with her division mates and she seems to have a strong camaraderie between her and Inoue Orihime. She went to Hueco Mundo to help save the girl, and has been the only person to encourage her to stand up and fight.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? Rukia is a hard person to get to know under normal circumstances. The aforementioned aloof shield around new people and a long time of feeling alone has made Rukia feel like she doesn't deserve friendship, even going so far as to run away from Ichigo and Karakura when she realized she was getting too attached to the feelings of closeness and friendship.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Errr... this is hard. Her only family has been very distant to her, and up until recently, so have her friends. I dont think you can really separate the two for her. She'll go to the ends of the earth and Soul Society for both.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? Single, unmarried.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? Shiba Kaien for both. But he was also happily married, a fact that Rukia readily accepted, knowing that her feelings wouldn't be returned. She contented herself with just being close to him and having his friendship.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? She'd rather go for understanding and equity than passion. Rukia doesn't do flings, if she commits, she's in it for the long haul.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? Nope, none now. But in the future? Its a good possibility.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? Besides the general big bads of the series, not really. Nobody holds a grudge against her specifically, unless you count the Novena Espada, but he's been taken care of.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Heterosexual, ranking at a 1 on the scale. She's never thought about having a relationship with a girl, and if she were to have those kinds of feelings for a girl, she would accept that. She just doesn't think about it a lot.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? Not a virgin, but she's not very interested in pursuing intimacy or a relationship just to have it. Again, the self confidence issues have assured she's never really pursued a relationship, or felt herself desirable in that way.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? Capricorn, which is ironically ruled by Saturn, considered to be the planet of time and death. The description is limited, but Capricorns are described as introverts and quietly emotional. And thats a good way to describe Rukia.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? Does it count as being religious when you're part of mythology? Still, its hard not to believe in spirits when you are one. So yes, she is spiritual - its part of her job.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Yes. Its very hard to break Rukia of the notion that she shouldn't do everything possible to help those around her, unless it was a case of that person having to do something on their own, such as Ichigo's battle against Grand Fisher.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? She'd be curious about the structure and specifics, but over all, she doesn't care one way or the other.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them? Hollows. But then again, they are soul-devouring monsters that she can cleanse and end their suffering.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Well off. The Kuchiki are one of the Great Clans and a few of the official omake make fun of this fact (Byakuya giving Ichigo a pass to all the Kuchiki stores in Soul Society).
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? As Byakuya's sister, adopted or not, she is high-ranking nobility and near the top of the social ladder. A big improvement from being a slum child. But the weight of being a noble has made Rukia feel isolated from her peers at times and she can come across a bit haughty at times.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? In Soul Society, she lives in the Kuchiki Estate with Byakuya. In the Living World, she rooms with the Kurosaki twins in their home. Its pretty heavily suggested that Rukia doesn't feel very attached to her suite in the manor, but seems to be quite comfortable in her bed in Yuzu and Karin's room. And Ichigo's closet, but she's not supposed to be there any more.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? Chappy or rabbit themed items, markers and sketchbooks, candy and other odds and ends that interest her.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? She's a shinigami, and she's pretty damn good at it, too. Shes quite career-oriented in this manner.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? Drawing is her big hobby, afflicting all around her with her "special" art style of turning everything into cartoony rabbits and bears. (If you're a bear, this means you're evil!) Coming a close second is climbing and hanging around in high places.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? There's some things about living in Inuzuri that simply can't be squashed, among them the hearty appetite of someone who wasn't used having regular meals. She eats like a bird, in the sense that birds often eat close to their body weight each day during seasons before great migrations. She's not a glutton, but she doesn't peck at her food either.
