I'm going to see if anyone at my workplace is interested in starting up a monetary/food/clothing/blankets, etc donation within this place. I work in a building with several hundred people. I know we've sent care packages to the soldiers in Iraq, now it's time to help the people here.

I'm sure I can find a few and somehow corporate can get involved.
