I was thinking about how we're funny, as humans. We can have enough empathy to fill a room but when it comes to really really understanding other people and their feelings, we're still in the dark.
We come into each day with certain expectations.
For ourselves, for the people we interact with, for the world around us.
And yes, if something unexpected happens, we adapt.
But sometimes I think that we adapt by repressing the thing that interrupted our pretty little world view. And we expect others to do the same.
"Get over it already" and "My god, its not that bad" are things we hear, things we tell ourselves.
We end up questioning whether or not our own feelings are valid, and in that, we question the validity and strength of the feelings of others.
It's just strange, that's all. And with that, I have to pee. So I'll write more later.
