yesterday, jeff and i drove down to terri shiavo's hospice in pinellas park. we met up with bryan kemper, the founder of rock for life and stand true minitries. he's a really cool guy. we were driving around and he was talking to his wife and daughters. it was really cute, because he was promising his daughters dates. so cute. anyways....i wish we could have met under different circumstances. it was hard to talk of anything other than the atrocity being commited inside the walls near where we were standing. i can't believe the police were standing there not to protect a life, but to make sure it ends. we even got a parking ticket from a cop who was just being unkind.
there were several people there protesting from different states...wisconsin, pennsylvania, kansas...there were some awesome signs...."hospice or auschwitz?" "arrest terri-then she'll get food and water" i liked one with a cat saying someone would get arrested for not feeding their cat, but here's a woman being starved to death. ....most of the people there were Christians or Catholics....or both...because some Catholics know Jesus as their Saviour...there was alot of prayer going on and alot of services.
many people have come out of situations like this and learned to move and speak again.
let us pray that this will have a positive outcome on our nation. many people seem to be opposed to this very strongly...perhaps things will happen in order to use this situation for good. let us pray to that end. let us pray that Terri truly knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour.
take, for example, jessica lunsford. she was kidnapped, tortured, raped, and killed. however, it was so amazing to see sooo many people at her funeral that was televised not only nationally, but internationally. the gospel was presented to all of those people because that little girl loved Jesus.
man....alot of news has been happening here in florida.
on a lighter note....there was a proposition by a florida governer, i believe....to create a toilet paper tax. it's $0.02 a....roll? pack? i dunno...it most likely wont pass....but how retarded.
