Hello all!
Last week, I finished reading The English Patient -> SPOILERS for The English Patient ahead!!!
And, well, I was incredibly blown away by it! And the idea of the Almasy/Katharine love affair! It was just all so intense, and the Herodotus... oh dearest, it killed me! Immediately after I finished, I rented the film, and immediately after, I set on to do some H/Hr art inspired by The English Patient..
I basically worked around the idea of the Herodotus (The Herodotus is this book Almasy always carried around, he pasted pictures and drawings and maps in it; and in the adaptation he and Katharine wrote each other messages in it) because it killed me, it felt so intimate, and the love affair so intense... :) I ended up with three variations of the same theme, all with quotes from both the Michael Ondaatje book, and the script by Anthony Minghella.
