It turns out I unabashedly love The Vampire Diaries now. It's not even a guilty pleasure. I genuinely loved the show last night wtf how did this happen omg I should make it stop this will not end well.
I have thought before, that I cross a line with a show when the show does something I don't entirely love and I still stay and suck on the show if it's good enough. And I think that kinda happened last night. Just for clarification I am going to list all the things that were wrong with this episode and this will go on to prove how obsessed I am with it that I thought all of this was actually amazing.
#1. Damon was whipped. I don't like it when my bb gets all whipped. He's vulnerable and sad and emotional and crazy. It isn't even like the mean and fun kinda vibe he had before on s1. It's like, Spike in season 6. It's quite upsetting omg and I still loved the shit out of it.
#2. That Katherine is a basic bitch. But fuck, she made shit hit the fan and it was intense.
#3. Tyler was kind of a douche and an emo kid but omg I felt bad for Tyler lol WHAT ARE THESE EMOTIONS
#4. Stefan was all bamf. What the fuck, how does that happen? And he was owning Uncle John and I was CHEERING FOR STEFAN HOW THE FUCK. Although I am indeed sad to see Uncle John go. Needs more Sark. Always.
#5. THIS EPISODE HAD NO WARNER AT ALL WTF IS THAT HOW THE FUCK DID I LIKE THIS EPISODE IF IT HAD NO MATT DAVIS WHAT THE FUCK
#6. Bonnie was a lot in this episode. And normally that would have no redeeming quality but Katherine pwnd the bitch, told it to her like it is and it was delightful to watch.
I loved this episode seriously. I loved it. I watched it twice. I fucking converted wtf happened to me I was all about the snark of this stupid show omg. Not that it's not stupid still, shows about vampires have a stupid element to them, but TAKE SOME FUCKING NOTES, ALAN BALL THIS IS HOW A VAMPIRE SHOW GETS SHIT DONE.
When True Blood is being such a dirty, sticky, undesirable mess, TVD feels so refreshing and amazing. I love it. I mean, let's be honest; TVD has things and characters that are not even relevant to my interests and I am still loving it. Whereas TB has all these eye candy things that are indeed relevant to my interests and I still can't stand it omg it's such crap. I'm not even excited for the season finale, just happy that it will end. Fucking finally.
