a borrowed Christmas meme

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
depends if I'm giving or receiving. I personally like ripping open the paper, but after working retail; specifically gift wrap/customer service, I like giving bags.

2. Real tree or artificial?
Fake- I love the smell but, I don't see the point with the clean up or the waste of a dead tree. Plus it saves money in the long run over time.

3. When do you put up the tree?
When I lived at home it went up about two weeks before christmas, now well I haven't had either the time, money or space.

4.Do you like eggnog?
Yes, but without the booze and in small amounts. So unless I can find a pint of it there is really no point. I will go to waste.

5.Favorite gift received as a child?
I remember a bouncing riding horse that made galloping sounds. I think I was 3 or 4 at the time.

6. Hardest person to buy for?
My parents. Mother's a nurse and well Dad, what I would like to get him I couldn't even begin to afford.

7. Easiest person to buy for?
My sister

8. Do you have a nativity scene?
Nope, not a one.

9. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Depends on whether I remember in time or not. But all in all I attempt to mail.

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Really no gift to say. But the year 2001 sucked as my Grandmother passed away Dec. 1st of that year. It just wasn't the same and no one was really in the holiday spirit.

11. Favorite Christmas movie?
White Christmas, with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Love the music, love the dancing, love Danny Kaye and plus no drama and tear jerking.

12. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
I try to start around October 1. Depending on what I know people would like, if I can then earlier.

13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yes, but ask me again and I will deny it.

14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
My grandma's Icebox fruitcake, and as I hate fruitcake this is some good stuff.

15. Lights on the tree?
Sure. Clear, colored it doesn't matter.

16. Favorite Christmas song?
Carol of the bells, followed closely by We Three Kings. And if I have to hear Jingle Bell Rock any more I swear I will be going postal.

17. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Depends on the plans with the parents and the in-laws.

18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Yes, but give me a second.

19. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Depends on what I have and what look I want to go for.

20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning
One on Christmas Eve and the rest after breakfast.

21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
As a survivor of working retail there are many things but I think my fingers would give out before I was through.

22. Favorite ornament theme or color?
I really don't have a specific one. I go for anything that catches my eye.

23.Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Ham, definitely ham and Watercress salad.

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?
My dept to be paid off, a new roof for the house, and a part-time job so I can pay for improvements to the house or my car.
