Back in Ann Arbor, they hid their secrets in a paper trail.
Here they hide their secrets and their accidents in murky flowing water.
Not the secrets of the deep ocean. But the canals and the intra-coastal.
Just this week they found a man in his car, after going missing for a week.
His resting place, was off the parking area where he lived.
These canals swallow cars whole, and their people too.
Just this week a couple towns up, a woman was found un-alive.
And nearby two children, found separately in luggage.
All in the waters off the intra-coastal.
One would think they would drain them each separately before the rainy season.
They are a beautiful functional tool in an area of giant raindrops in torrents.
But deadly and convenient for the cold beings that lurk in this strip of land.
