A Lot Like Christmas
In my last entry, I mentioned that I was taking on sole responsibilities of decorating the family home for Christmas. We decided early on to take it easy this year and limit the decorations to one room, namely the newly renovated and completed theater room. Here's how Christmas with the Roses looks this year:
As I also said in my last entry, because of our home improvements last Christmas, this is the first Christmas since 2004 that we've had decorations up. So all this stuff has been sitting in the shed for 24 solid months without being moved. Looks pretty good! Features include the fake tree which spins real slow, the large-scale train and the wreaths around the speakers. Don't forget 24/7 Christmas music coming in through the radio built into the stereo!
I bet this must seem cheery and cheesy, but for some reason I'm just not feeling the holiday spirit like I was last year (Which is ironic since we didn't really celebrate it last year). Maybe it's because the year is closing and I feel like I haven't really done very much since last Christmas. I wanted to have a job, my own place, maybe a girlfriend or two (Or three!)... Ohh well. 2007 is a nice sounding year. Who knows!
