Five Years on LiveJournal
Today five years ago, I began posting my blog to LJ. It's been a long and full half-decade and I'd like to take this time to thank everyone for reading and sharing in my life as best I can write it. I do this blogging stuff mostly for myself so one day I can look back and read what my life was like when I was a young naive kid. But also, I do it to keep in touch with friends new and old.
Halloween is coming up, so here's a new Halloween Buster Bunny hat icon. Credit goes to "John C 98" for the original outline of Buster. I hand-drew the wizard's hat, cloak and put in a photo of the moon behind it all. I'm not terribly happy with this icon, maybe I'll do better next year.
Also, in celebration of five years, I've got more and special new userpics. For the first time ever, I've got actual photos of myself as userpics. Yes, it's taken this long to get a photo of me as an avatar, but the time has come.
Credit on this photo goes to Adam Patton, who took this photo of me as we filmed my short movie, "Imaginings" in 2002.My aunt took this one as we stood by the American Falls at Niagara Falls. The photo always reminds me of some ad for Gordons Seafood. "Trust the Gordon's Fisherman!"Jacalyn took this last one in Seattle. Look at those cheeks! Yikes!
