With the new carpet in the theater room, the audio/video equipment that will power the cinema is finally moving back in there after two months of being hidden in another room. All that's left in there to do is nail in the new base boards and that room will be completely done outside of painting. I've been instructed to have some things ready to go for Sunday, tomorrow, when we could have our first official showing of... something. I'm hoping to have a DVD video of all my road trip photography ready to go so the family can finally see the photos from the trip. I have so much work to do though, it's unreal.
I go from people who send me the wrong mailing address to people who won't pay. eBay has lately been a breeding ground for inept people. While the
camera that accidently got shipped to the wrong address got taken care of and is a done deal, a new crop of morons has appeared. Two of my most recent auctions have winners who haven't paid or talked to me at all and one is 10 days delinquent. I have angry, nasty policies in place, but I've never used them before. I only hope that they pay up quick, I'd hate to have to bring out the big guns. Why do people have to be so dumb when they shop online? God.
It's tax time, ya'll! That special time of year when we slave over a 1080 tax form (Or what-have-you) and get out that dusty calculator to find out how much we owe Uncle Sam. Or, if you're lucky, you get a return. I'm hoping for a nice fat return because someone mentioned to me that the interest I pay on my student loans is tax deductible. I've been paying $300 a month (Triple what I've been required to pay) every month now since December 2004 and every month, they've taken out around $50 on average for interest. If I get all that back, that's a nice chunk of change.
Also in Form Central, the insurance companies have begun to file paperwork on my claim from the tow truck incident. They sent me a packet of worksheets that I know I'll be spending days on, all because I visited the doctor and had him tell me to go out there, do some REAL damage, THEN come back and see him. I should have just handled this under the table with the tow company that hit my car and settled for a nice large check and been done with it.
Waiting. This is my life now. I'm waiting for insurance money, waiting for people to pay me on eBay, waiting for a job, waiting waiting waiting. If I weren't so busy with the home improvement as well as a million hobbies and projects of my own, I think I'd go crazy.
