It's been a slow week. Let me mentally prepare for this entry by reading what I wrote last week and start from there... :: reads last week's entry ::
Hmm. Okay. So Thursday morning, Katie came into work as usual to photocopy our records. She must be a notary or something, that's all I can come up with as to why we hire someone else to come in and photocopy our own records with our own copy machine. Anyway, it was my latest chance to study her. I didn't barely get a chance to talk to her since when I got in, she was done and on her way out. So much for that! This coming Thursday is going to be it since Friday is my last day at CCA.
Speaking of leaving CCA, it's time to really start gearing up for the road trip. For those of you who still question it, YES I AM GOING. You can't stop me now. I'm nervous and scared and unprepared but I'm now passionate about discovering myself, these United States of America and my place in it. This weekend, I wanted to really get some more work done on preparing for the trip by upgrading my new camera with some serious memory and also looking for a birthday gift for Jaci. I ended up going to Newberg and visiting
metalchick1000 at her workplace. I was lucky enough to have caught her but it appears I showed up on
a day when customers were giving her lip. Did I cheer you up at all, Aves? This is only the fourth time in history I've seen her in real life; the third time at her workplace and the first time I've actually bought something while I've visited. I feel kinda guilty that I made her work for me but I thought it was a kick that I've got a receipt that says she was my checker.
I'm such a geek.
But today was the main event. The Oregon International Airshow here in Hillsboro. My friend Bryan snagged some free VIP tickets through his sister's work and we, along with my sister and Franko, enjoyed a day under the planes at the President's Club tent. It was a beautiful day. Free food, drinks, alcohol, shade and the best damn seats in the whole show, I swear to you. So good in fact, that after the pilots would finish their routines they would taxi right there and stopped at us first to hob-nob. Franko and Bryan even got their photo taken (Below) with one of the wild stunt pilots who just blew us away. He was literally 5 minutes done with his kick ass routine and he's still up for talking to us ground-dwellers. The guy was all class. It pays to be a VIP.
It was a great show. I wish i had time tonight to deal with all the photos and video (With audio! GLEE!) that I took, but I'm off to begin my final week at work in a mere 9 hours. I should get some sleep!
