Seeing Katie Again
Thursday mornings is when the DBS copy girl, Katie, comes in to our workplace and copies like crazy. We didn't talk a whole lot and I was surprised that I wasn't teased or anything by Sarah. But I did study Katie. She looks much younger than she is.
From Sarah I learned a lot more about her. To my dismay, it appears Katie hasn't even really gotten into the process of divorcing her current husband. They've been separated for only a short time as well. On the plus side, they never had kids so there's less baggage she's carrying around. But, she is coming out of an abusive relationship (I've heard) so if anything does happen, it's gonna be slow and cautious.
I am flattered to hear, though, that she wondered where I was when she got there this morning. Ugh, I'm so torn between confusion and infatuation!
