Offing iMacs and Cameras

I love eBay. I sell crap on eBay all the friggin time. I think I've had something on eBay up for sale every week since I graduated college. As you've read yesterday, I've had a very productive weekend. Today I finally got the last of the major appliances up for sale. I've had this iMac I bought off my friend, Bryan, for years. I've been meaning to sell it back to him (High sentimental value) but he's never come up with the money and in the end neither of us really wants it anyway. That's out at Craigslist right now.

The other major appliance is my other Mini DV Camcorder. Now that I bought my gigantic Canon XL-1, I don't need the one I've had for a couple years. It's over at eBay. It's already got 4 bids on it and it's only 10 hours old. I hope to get at least $200 for it. I'm gonna miss that camera. it was a nice toy. I even let my college suite-mate, Ian, and his friends borrow it for a class film project and the result was fantastically humorous and visually wild. It was more or less like the typical movie a student makes: A student is late to class one morning and runs across campus to make it in time to turn an assignment in. Along the way he affects people's lives in a positive way he'll never know. Like there's a guy he runs into and knocks him down. A girl helps the victim up and that moment starts their relationship. Another instance is our "hero" running into an artist overlooking his canvas, spilling the painter's coffee all over his masterpiece. But it turns out to be a blessing as an art lover then buys the work. The whole thing was run through several filters and it's hard to believe my little camera produced it. I'll miss it but it'll be good to get rolling on.

Then I turned my purging vengeance on my music collection. I've got 21 GB of music which was either purchased online or came from ripping my physical CD collection. That's a lot of music. 3,500 songs. Well, iTunes, which is what I use on my Mac, has a feature where you can rate your music and for years I've built up the ratings. I went on a rampage and deleted every song that had only one star. Then I went through the two-star songs and wiped nearly all of them. Now, my collection is down to 14 GB and every song that's been playing lately has been one I haven't heard in a long time since such crap has always been in rotation. Okay, I'm just being boring now.

Tomorrow I start my new temp job. I'm worried it will be overwhelming. I hope I get a raise... Benefits would be nice.
