You know it's a boring, go-nowhere kind of day when you catch yourself meandering through online personals for women in cities 2,000 miles away. It really has been a slow, pitiful day surfing the web aimlessly for the last 6 hours. I started the day watching the silly 80's movie-miniseries
V: The Final Battle on DVD. God, what dated material. Although I kinda like it, the idea behind the whole series is wonderful sci-fi.
For a while now, I've been looking for a serious, professional digital camcorder. Something like
Canon's XL2. You know, something at the high end of the professional consumer market. Before I knew it, I had spent several hours today on eBay and Craigslist looking for such a camera to no avail. eBay is scary and no one local has one to give up. No deals to be had! Figures. You tell people you've got $2000 for a camcorder and they suddenly ask for $2500. It's like trying to buy a car: You know which one you want, the tough part is getting a fair deal for it. But I guess that goes for anything expensive. If I do get this camera, it will be the second largest purchase of my life not including college. My laptop being the first. The search continues. I've got this idea bubbling in my head for a series of movies. Need to work on that.
