Damn Koreans and there skills
So I know this is funny but man I have really gotten into the World Baseball Classic. Not for team USA but for the other teams. I watched a World Series caliber baseball game tonight which featured Korea vs. Japan. It might have been the most exciting baseball game I have watched since Boston beat the Yankees in that amazing comeback from 3 games down a few years ago. Korea beat Japan 2-1, which is shocking considering Japan has the second best pro league in the world behind the MLB. I also watched the Domican get beat by Puerto Rico in another exciting game. Baseball games just usually don't have this much passion behind them. Its country rivals playing each other for national pride. I was really skeptical about this whole thing originally, but I have enjoyed it way more than watching any MLB game outside of the League Championships and World Series. I would like to see the US field a pro baseball team to be in the Olympics. I also am excited that Cuba made the semifinals of the WBC, seeings how none of their players will ever have the chance to play in the MLB. You guys should check it out.
On another note, tomorrow begins the most exciting tournament in sports, the Final Four. Let the mayhem begin! I got UCONN, Gonzaga, West Viriginia and Villanova in the Final Four. It should be great.
