hmmm

I noticed that all but 3 of my livejournal friends post anymore, and only two comment on rare occasion. I know I don't post often, but it seems people aren't so interested in thorough reading and writing anymore, in lieu of links and commentary a la facebook and twitter. Maybe it's time to give this thing up?

heh, you said 'telly.'
facebook should be shallow, yes. i've found it helpful for keeping in the loop with people in town i don't know very well and all their goings on.
i am motivated to write big posts about what's going on my life on the occasions that i do want feedback, but no one gives it. or i'll post pictures of new art/photography and no one comments. and i don't go wishfully fishing for comments, i literally ask "what do you guys think of this?" i figure it's because silly livejournal isn't as much as priority as it was when we all had more time and thought more of our own opinions. so that's what lead me to wonder if i should continue to post anything personal about my life at all, lest i become one of those people who write pages of crap that no one cares about.
i'm not bitter or trying to whine about anything here. i'm being matter-of-fact about whether or not anyone at all keeps up with this anymore.

i work nights as well....it blows. if i had access to livejournal or anything else at work, i'd probably be on here constantly. i guess it's all in the timing.

i'd like to be on here more. honestly. i wish i had more to say from day to day. wish my friends did too. i hate facebook. i ditched myspace. twitter's interesting because i'm following people like neil gaiman and trent and jemaine from flight of the conchords and john hodgman and michael ian black - and they're all pretty fucking funny.

livejournal gonna go the way of ninchat and ninternet? maybe the things that bind us end up just driving a wedge down between us when we change.

nevermind me. ridiculous musings.
