Shall I pretend to be surprised?

This Admiral makes a daily jape of me!

I want off this wretched vessel, bastard. I command you to see it done.

[Imagine the line face he's giving you. IMAGINE IT]

I will do my best, my lord.

Now, shall we agree on a time to meet?

[.]

You better not try anything with me, bastard. I don't trust Starks or their whore-get.

That said, I don't have any pressing matters to attend to. I'm being held on a prison ship against my will.

Believe me, my lord, I want you off this ship as much as you do. [Because you be crazy.]

The dining hall then. After the evening meal tonight.

I highly doubt that, bastard.

Very well.

I will see you then.

[Jon is seated at one of the dining tables after dinner. Ghost is at his side, gnawing on a bone to get to the marrow, as has become his habit. Whenever he leaves his room, he brings the direwolf with him. It's better than keeping him locked up all the time.]

[Viserys finds most of the food served in the dining hall alien at best. There wasn't even wine to wash it down. He could at least find wine at the markets to wash down the Dothraki horsemeat, as disgusting as horsemeat was. Why was there no wine, no ale? There was water. Was this Admiral trying to give him plague, or worse?

There were other liquids, but they were oddly colored, and some of them even bubbled! Sorcery. Plain and simple. He picked at his food, refused drink, and sooner or later took it upon himself to find the bastard. He takes one look at the enormous wolf at his side and snatches up a forgotten fork from the nearest table.]

[Ghost notices him before Jon does. The bastard of Winterfell was more engrossed in the file that had appeared in his room that morning after the Admiral's announcement. The feel of the parchment was odd and the words were neater than any Maester's hand and there was the fact that it contained the entire history of Viserys Targaryen.

The direwolf loses interest in his bone to bare a silent growl at the prince before Jon notices him and gets to his feet.] "Stay, Ghost," [he warns the wolf and then treats Viserys with a bow.]

"He won't hurt you, my lord."

[His hand trembled around the fork as the wolf bared its long, pointed teeth at him. Seven help him, why was this bastard whore-get allowed to have a monster on board?

He was hardly to be comforted by a bow, as nice as it was to have someone treat him like the damned king that he was.]

"I'm supposed to take your word for that, bastard? Look at the thing. I refuse to sit here and have that monster staring at me. Send it away, or you can talk to the air."

[Jon glances down at Ghost for a moment, the wolf isn't snarling anymore but he hasn't returned to his bone either, and then back at his new charge. Bastards have a place in Westeros but they are not there right now and he is a man of the Night's Watch. In the future, he can leave Ghost in his quarters when he has plans to meet with Viserys but for now, the direwolf is staying. He isn't going to send him off on this ship by himself regardless of what anyone says.]

"Then I will talk to air, my lord and you will stay here for a very long time."

"How dare you." [All the sputtering in the world.] "I am your king."

[He points at Ghost with the fork, jabbing it at the air.] "Is this how a bastard helps someone? Is that how you get me off this ship? Have your beast tear out my throat? You can tell 'The Admiral' to find you another chew toy for your bitch."

[Ghost snarls at him again, but what beast wouldn't when someone gestures at it with a fork. It doesn't help that Ghost doesn't really seem to like the prince, which Jon can sympathize with at least. Jon puts a hand on the direwolf's head, silently reminding him to stay where he is and not attack.]

"I am a man of the Night's Watch, I have no king." [All he brought with him is black. He isn't sure if he would wear anything else if given the chance.] "Ghost will ignore you if you ignore him. He is well trained."

"Night's Watch." [Yep, spat like it tastes foul.] "The Wall was a part of Westeros, last time I was privy to a map."

[He glares at the monster/beast/mutt. Keeping the fork in hand, but no longer waving it about like a madman, he turns his attention to Jon. He will stab the beast if it pounces, and that will be the end of that.]

"How do I get off this ship?"

"The Night's Watch doesn't take part in the quarrels of the realm the last I was told." [It's said with as much sass as he dares to put into his voice, which makes it not very obvious but clear if you're paying attention.

He eyes the fork for a moment before sighing a little. He's sure that if it came down to it, Ghost would win a thousand times over but he is perhaps a little concerned that his new charge seems to think a utensil will stop a direwolf.]

"Why do you think you are here?"

"That doesn't mean you don't have a king." [He's probably oblivious to the sass.]

"How should I know why I'm here? The Admiral brought me here, yes? Why doesn't he make his intentions plain?"

"His intention is that you are dead back home and in need of a second chance at life. It's my job to make you the best ruler that you can be."
