I was prepared to hide under the table for hours chewing my nails, but now they've both given speeches I guess it's real.

Now it's just about waiting for Prop 8's results. I can't believe a bunch of religious nuts can change our state constitution by simple majority vote.

It seems the fight continues. On one hand, it is only a matter of time and persistence before justice eventually prevails. On the other hand, fuck every goddamn person who voted for this piece of shit.

The CA Supreme Court could still decide that the change that Prop 8 represents is a "revision", not merely an "amendment", and therefore that a simple majority vote is not enough.

Sounds like the court was hoping people would be sensible and they wouldn't have to deal with this again. Here's hoping they've got the balls to follow up with the right answer.
