Well, the
invasion by Tim Horton's into the US coffee shop market has begun in earnest.
It will be interesting to see how successful, or not, Tim's becomes in the States. The franchise is huge in Canada. I'm not saying I am a fan. I easily gave up my cup of cafe mocha per day in lieu of coffee at the office laced with hazelnut cream. But there is no denying the success of Tim Horton's in Canada. I call it a Canadian addiction. Even snowstorms that lay a foot a snow on the ground do not deter the true Tim Horton's aficionado - there's always a path to the door beaten into the snow.
I've tried to find a Dunkin' Donuts in the areas I frequent while in New York without much luck. It will be interesting to see if the Tim Horton's sign is more prevalent in those areas. It will also be interesting to hear how Tim's does in comparison to Starbucks. They're not specifically competitors, but they could be in the US market.
I'd love to hear Tim Horton's reports from New Yorkers on my flist.
