Skating is happiness

I had been following a news story that took place in a small town about three hours from here. Small town, Nova Scotia. Today there was an unexpected turn of events, which stopped court proceedings and ended speculation. While, this could have been a desired outcome, the events leading up to this moment are haunting and difficult to acknowledge and understand.

Reading further in the news release than I should have and watching the coverage on the local suppertime news put a blight on my day. Thankfully, evening allowed me to catch up with friends, causing me to feel better.

ashmedai posted a meme, which included the instrumental version of Switchfoot's "Dare You to Move". While looking for a certain video where this music was used as a competitive skating number, I found Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir skating an exhibition program to the original song. Good friends and this performance helped end my day better than it started. :)
