Season's Greetings and Happy New Year!
I am very fortunate to have the same girl friends, except for one, for the last nearly 25 years. We have shared wonderfully happy times and deeply sad and desperate times. They have enriched my life and given me a family when I didn't feel part of my own family.
That being said, I could never have dreamed that I would find such amazing friends via the world wide web. Some of those specials friends I have met here at LJ, while others I met prior to venturing into this community. Many of these friends were made because of a certain little show featuring a small group of friends in steel town, USA. It's amazing that I have formed my own friendships as a result of watching that show.
I would like to thank all of you who have inspired me, made me feel welcome in your journals, enthralled me with excellent fanfic (including various one shot stories, as well as series), and entertained me with the the odd crack!fic (my dearest

I joined LJ because of fan fiction, beginning with Brokeback Mountain, followed by Queer as Folk. I never imagined that amongst the marvelous fanfic writers, I'd find people writing their own original fiction. And thank you to all of you who took the time to read my journal and leave comments, especially the kind comments for my ficlets and drabbles.
