(no subject)
Man am I tired of waiting. So recently it was announced that the UW now receives in excess of 1 billion dollars in grant money a year, putting it at the top of public universities. I am humbly waiting a very small chunk of that, literally minute by minute. If/when we get the coin, I will finally begin to live a life somewhat linear and of a d development->release nature, instead of perpetual discovery and pondering. I just can't wait for a little structure. All educated up and nowhere to go!
I have had several fascinating chats with the likes of Microsoft Research lately, who are doing truly world-changing things. But as in the previous paragraph, this too involves waiting my very ass off. The ides of August!
I have a crisp new British Ale in the keg, and am trying my hand at carbonating water, since I realized why not? Also made rootbeer last week, fermented it and everything, but not real happy with the taste so I am going to probably pour it on the garden. I hadn't considered how it >might< taste, so I am not sure what it should taste like, but it dosen't appear to be root beer-enough.
Maybe ginger ale next. that mixes good with whiskey, doesn't it?
