Here's a blurb from the New Times about our show, which opens tomorrow night!

Kick Out the Jams
Crap-tastic art at Pravus

By Sloane Burwell

If there were an award for Outstanding Achievement in a Flyer, those crazy kids at Pravus would win for their “Ill Will” show. This exhibit's cheeky nod to a ubiquitous secondhand giant (i.e., Goodwill) promises “crappy comics, piss-poor paintings, and drab drawings.” The satirical store concept turns the .antispace gallery into a microdepartment store, complete with thrift-store-chic shopping zones -- including a spot for modified stuffed animals -- monoprinted jams (for the uninitiated, jams are a 1960s comic tradition), and a variety of other killer creations. Lucky CenPho hipsters may have seen the artists around town recently, creating their jamtastic masterpieces. The works are collaborative endeavors in which one artist starts with a portion, like a conversation bubble or a panel, then passes it to another artist to add something until it is complete. "You have no idea how hard it is to get six artists together," says Pravus Prince Kenny Richardson. We can only imagine. “Ill Will,” features the work of Roy Wasson Valle, David Quan, Justin Ison, David Bessent, Matthew Connelley, and Richardson.
