I <3 Andalucia

Heading to Barcelona tomorrow. Andalucia has been fabulous, especially Seville—a city my mother and I both adore. Aside from the lovely streets and fragrant flowers (not to mention the Santa Semanta processions), our visit has been especially brightened by the tapa & beer at the amazingly affordable Bodeguita Romero and the perfectly executed paella at Horacio. Oh and Hilton Garden Inn Sevilla had both an awesome location plus super-helpful staff. (And regular Spanish people we have met are really warm and helpful, too! :D *tap on wood*)

The only downside is I will miss Iberian ham like crazy once I leave here....

Three days until cruise. I am almost done with Coming to Terms with the Nation: Ethnic Classification in Modern China by Thomas Mullaney. So it looks like the first month's reading target will be met. For next month it's either Foucault's Discipline & Punish: The Birth of the Prison or David Shambaugh's new book China Goes Global: The Partial Power. Maybe I should get a head start on either...
