这都是petriepuss的 A Rite of Passage惹的祸啊，抱头。

“Sorry to break off your game,” Mycroft casually pinched back the letter, “but I'm regretted to inform you that it is only my first assignment. I had been contemplating on a solution when you so unceremoniously landed on my bed,” he said with a quirk on his lips, “like a scared rat.”
Sherlock sat up straighter on the bed, “I was not scared!” The response was automatic, but then he remembered, well, perhaps he had been worried, but certainly not scared. “And I'm not a rat, unless you are one as well.”
“My apologies,” Mycroft pulled the boy to sit on his lap, having already surreptitiously kicked the envelope under the bed. He ran a thumb over the smooth upper lip of his brother, and gravely remarked, “The lack of whiskers does seem to concur with your statement.” A quick kiss was stolen from the still pouting lips, “Off you go, it has gone quiet downstairs, I think the coast is clear.”

“You are going to London tomorrow for your interview, are you not? I wish I could go with you.” Sherlock normally disliked being touched, but tonight he was doing his best sloth impersonation, with Mycroft as his tree. He felt very reluctant to leave the warm berth and return to his cold, sterile room with its over-starched sheets and hard mattress.

“Perhaps...I could think of a reason for you to tag along,” he held up one finger in front of the eager-looking boy, “If you go back to your bed now and leave me to my thoughts.”
“All right.” Sherlock quickly stood up to return to his room, but paused at the door. “Good night, Mycroft.”
“Good night, brother mine.”
The door closed quietly, and Mycroft waited for a few minutes before bending down to retrieve the letter from under the bed. As he lifted the pillow to place back the envelope, he found one item was conspicuously missing.
Mycroft smiled.
