babblings about SPN and ST....in English
Been reading a lot of the Dean/Castiel stuff on deancastiel. This fandom is full of fucking novels, and I mean that in the best sense possible. My only problem (concern?) is that it invariably gets tied to theology, which is such a personal thing and makes me feel out of place.
Anyway. I am now totally convinced that John Winchester = God in some really screwed up incarnation. I mean, Michael and Lucifer, plus Adam the brother-from-god-knows-where? Add the amulet business and the signs are JUMPING off the wall, srsly.
In other news, I'm really beginning to like (like, like like, okay) Dean. I keep watching Bring on the Wonder and my heart just breaks for him, over and over. I've warmed up to Sam, too. Which is good. Because, honestly, the brothers are a package deal (and I say this not as a Wincest girl).

Watched ST: XI movie trailer again. SO EPIC. I remember when I did a presentation on the topic of my honors thesis (an eon ago, it seemed), I was given the advice that the talk should be like a movie trailer, showing the audience the very parts in order to draw them in. I think the trailer for XI does exactly that. The music is perfect. Kirk & Spock are perfect. And Pike. Oh God Pike is so hot he should be illegal.
XI is not TOS (in both the good and the bad sense), but it's pretty cool in its own right. The single shot of Kirk sitting down in that chairyou really get the sense that this is meant to be, that this is, indeed, his first and best destiny.
And kirkspock, I LOVE YOU.
