Oh, WOW! This was SUCH a great, great beginning! I looooooved how you portrayed Spock, his POV was perfect! And, man, Kirk was awesome - funny and brazen and caring. I also really loved how you set up the alternate George Kirk and Pike connection, that was great.

Yeah, in this fic Spock calling Kirk "James" is the equivalent of calling him "Captain" in Starfleet.

But yeah, I do think Spock should call him "James" more often. It's ridiculously hot.
