Today has been a good day. (I'd have to say in general it's been a good week for me.) I spent Monday night with friends up in Santa Monica. Tuesday morning with some VERY hot, but unfortunately married, lifeguard/firefighters. Later that same day I headed over to dad's via Ortega Highway where I thought I was going to kill myself trying to keep up with how fast the traffic was speeding through there at night. I showed up at dad's with enough time to don my Cat in the Hat costume (the only one I thought my dad would be comfortable with) and hand out candy to the little tykes all night. We ended up with 70 kids... quite disappointing if you recall when they used to get well over 100.
This morning, since I was off, I got to sleep in a bit over at dad's place before getting up to make the drive home. I left around 10am and took the 60 instead of the 91 so I hit little traffic, and it was a change in scenery from the dang 405 that I drive all the time. I came home to run errands, do paperwork for work (I swear the government is supposed to be preserving trees, not killing a ton of them for the dang paperwork we all have to do), and relax.
Tonight I met up with Sarah, and I must say... Nothing beats working out under the stars and moon, outside. Tonight, for a change of scenery, Sarah and I went walking around Golden West's track and after Sarah went off to class, I went running for a while. I must say I miss working-out outdoors... all I have now is the gym. It's not exactly safe to go running around and exercising late at night by yourself... thus, the gym or nothing. On my cool-down laps and sit-ups, I was slowly being overtaken by the cute little wild bunny rabbits that were awaiting my departure to munch on some dinner.
The next few days for me will be filled with work, but I will be heading out to Disneyland this coming Friday with some friends. I then get next weeks Tuesday through Thursday off... not sure what I'm going to do with myself. I kind of want to go see the white shark up at Monterey Bay Aquarium, but I'm not sure if I want to go it alone. We'll see...
Ok.. off to watch Lost!!!
