(no subject)
so, no update in a long while..so here it goes.
I landed 3 skirt commissions, which makes me so happy! Though I have a very..very busy schedual right now..as I have those to do, new clothes to make before I go home ( I would like to have a new look..I know that sounds a bit materialistic but I have changed and fashion is how I exspress myself ^_^) and I am finally finnishing up a winter fairy costume to put up on ebay. I have about 3 weeks..yes I have alot to do. I am so excited because its this first time I have sewn from my favorite pattern in the world since I was like..12 when I first discovered costuming. Its from Butterick Patterns, currently dis continued but I got it ( hoorah ebay) and is a stunning medieval dress. Tight sleeves, lace up back, fabric for miles on the bottom. The picture on the front has the dress done in teal dupoini silk which looks just amazing. Some how I think I will have a hard time selling this one, but I really do not have a need to become a glittertastic snow princess any time soon, and this dress takes up a TON of space..I think there is like 11-12 yds in the entire dress. Depending on time and resources I may try to make a new loli outfit...I just hope I can, because I have an obscession with plaid tights and really want to use them in an outfit.
I should be flying out on December 18th, and will be returning January 2nd. I was happily suprised to find out that my school does not resume until the 14th of january..so maybe I can scuttle down to the LA area and see some people from PMX. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
The new job is going well, only down side is that I get paid monthly, and the pay period ends on the 15th, checks go out on the 25th because the bank just takes that long. I started work on the 14th, so I think I will be receiving a whopping 12 dollars in check form. Ahh well...every little bit counts, at least I will have a large amount waiting for me and a stable job when I come back so that I can start re building my resources.
