Helsinki yay

I came, I saw people, I saw Goddesses and blathered, and came home and am now going to collapse.

'twas nice, yay. Wonderful to be able to have Deep Conversations About Life, The Universe And Everything with people just like that and share enthusiastic waffle about mythology and stuff, and hug lovely people I hadn't seen in a long time:). Hadn't seen tindomerel in *years*.

There were only a few of us at the exhibit in the end, but it was nice, yes. kainoliero provided good backup on Lakshmi and babbled as much as I did, so there was a Closet Hindu stereo going on. Yay. I also love the way she and aallotar hit it off immediately, just as they had on LJ:). And that there was discussion of boobies. Of course. And Kaino presented me with surprise Hindu tat in the spirit of the occasion, eep! Made up for the lack of sparkly stickers, yay. (Hm, it's looking like Weasel time for the phone, then...) Tehanu took lots of photos, yay, and was interested in stuff, and so was thuleia. All in all, fab:).

Dad arrived home from the distant cousin's confirmation 'do at the same time. I asked him how it was and he said "they had ARTTU." Arttu being a popular boy's name (Finnish equiv. of "Arthur"), and me not being up to date on that branch of the family, I asked "Arttu who?" to which Dad replied: "MJJEAOOOOWWWWWW." Ah. I see. "Didn't run away even if there were lots of people coming in. Kept watching everyone. He had enormously long and thick whiskers. I joked that he'd obviously dressed up for the party and put his comedy moustache on." Not a word about cousins or people at all, just details on the cat. Dad knows his priorities. :)

Really wrung out now. Happy, but near-comatose. *slumps*

pagan, yay!, my dad fucking rules, hindu
