Having sat through the entire BBC coverage theirs is the only performance I can remember. All the rest of the entries flow into one an other, they were so alike. They are also a damn good rock band and deserve their win.

On the downside Finland TV has to host the Eurovision contest next year. How do you think they will do?

Heeeee:). Their English is atrocious sometimes but they do put on a good show, yes.

I fear Finland will just put on reindeer and bad folk music. Our equivalent of the BBC is already gnashing its teeth over having to stage a massive show... they are promising they won't hike up the license fees, but I'm not holding my breath. But yeah, I'm betting it'll be reindeer. Seeing as Lordi are from Lapland and all.

It'll be amusing if bad pop groups get impaled on reindeer horns, though...

Heh, apparently the Lordi guys had reindeer fur and horns on their outfits. that's remarkable, that is...8-)

Someone wrote to The Guardian asking if it shouldn't be held in Mordor?

Not if it is the traditional Finish goat faced lewd wiggler, he would be right at home.

I never got the feeling Mordor was a place for lewd sex. If they had it at all, it would be violent and perfunctory.
