1: Your native language.
Suomi. But again, it's shitty and hasn't been my primary language for about twenty years or so.
2: Which languages you know.
In addition to the above, English, clumsy Swedish (and that means I can understand the basics of Norwegian and Danish), German (scheissely), a smattering of Sanskrit and Persian.
3: Which languages you are learning, or want to learn.
I'd really want to learn Persian properly. No chance of doing so where I live right now, sadly, and I am not good at those audio courses and without a tutor to push me into doing stuff. Jaffar should come and spank Persian into me, basically.
4: Does anyone in your family speak a language that you don't?
No. I think I'm the one who speaks languages nobody else does.
5: Your favourite language to listen to.
Really clean and posh-ish RP.
6: Your least favourite language to listen to.
A man with a thick Newcastle/Sunderland accent (women sound way less caveman-y, though). Especially as I know the words and the sounds they're butchering. If it's a language whose vocabulary I don't know, it's less grating to my ears.
7: Your favourite word in your native language.
Shit, I was going to do a meme about these. My native language is not my primary one, but one of my favourites in English is "unfurl" (you may have noticed this if you've read my fics) and I used to love "twilight" before that crappy franchise ruined it. In Finnish, I quite like "auer" (which is a sort of morning haze, a mist illuminated by the dawn light. No idea if that's in any way related to "aurora" but as it always involves mist in my mind, it probably isn't from the same root). In Sanskrit, "sundari" is my favourite (it means "beauty," as in a beautiful lady being called a beauty).
8: Your favourite word in your second language(if you know one).
See above.
9: Your favourite word in a language you don't really speak.
I should probably count German as this as despite Connie's best efforts, it's rapidly rusting. But I just find "schlittschuhlaufen" fucking hilarious. It means ice skating but is literally "sliding-shoe-running."

11: A song you like in a language other than English.
Loads. Too many to mention, really. I once thought of making a multilingual timecock fanmix. It would've included songs in English, Finnish, Swedish and French at least.
12: If you could pick one language to learn automatically without having to work for it, which language would you choose?
Persian and/or an upgrade to full understanding of German.
13: Have you ever seen a whole movie in a language you don't understand?
Yeah, if it's had subtitles. And I've found that if I've watched unsubbed films in Swedish or German where I've missed some words and phrases, I tend to pay more attention to the mood and the actors' performances. And it's been a bonus with Connie's German talkies because only, like, two of them have ever been released with English subs and he gives some of his best performances in those. So it makes it even more enjoyable--perhaps this is also because I've had to rewind some bits to figure out what he's saying to get the context and then it's been even more enlightening.

I should brush up my Swedish, but fuckit.
