I'd only slept for like, four or five hours and was feeling like shit warmed up and was barking in my mind crankily at everything when I opened the computer. Aaaaand then these show up on Tumblr (click through for posts):
Can you be any more pretty-eyed?
Can you be any more majestic?
You can try, but it's pretty unlikely. My heart seriously started galloping and I couldn't breathe, I shit you not. The entire
gallery they came from might as well have been titled "how to make Grouse collapse upon the floor in fits and convulsions of ecstasy." The other galleries are really fantastic as well; they have a hell of a lot of classic and modern movie images I'd never seen before. Including a gallery of my
other epitome of human beauty. And some adorable Bacall/Bogie. It's well worth checking out.
Also, last night, I was talking etymology with
wallogirl and realised I still hadn't found out what "Ja'far" stood for. Apparently it means a little brook or a spring. And that is adorable! The only problem, now, is that I really want to start calling ze pwinzezz Yassamin in my other stories besides The Past Forgotten--especially the vulnerable version I wrote of her in Falcon, the one who needs a lot of tenderness and care. Because how cute would that be? Think of it--he's the wellspring nourishing the jasmine. *SOB* But since she's been nameless in it so far, it'd be weird to introduce a name now. Fuck, I am so going to have to use the spring imagery somewhere somehow, even if I mostly seem to have gone for metaphors of the sea when he's around. Connie had the sort of presence that could make you feel like you were sinking underwater, helplessly in sweet, ecstatic suffocation. And of course,
those blue and green and golden *eyes*...
*sigh* still need to kick my arse into writing. I can't believe I'm at the start of a steamy, hot sex scene and I'm still having trouble getting started because I'm not 100% sure of what will happen the day after. Maybe I should just poke at typos tonight or something instead of trying to come up with anything new.
