Evil Persian wizard tiem, once more

Got actual feedback on Ao3 for The King's White Falcon.

HIGH AS FUCK

I FEEL LIKE A HUMAN AGAIN

SOMEONE GETS IT

Also, spent six hours scanning and cleaning up this gorgeous portrait of Connie as Jaffar that I found on eBay (just don't ask how much I paid for it--it was an early Christmas present to myself). It's a really, really lovely photo because it's totally more Connie than an evil Persian wizard. Mostly because he's looking all dreamy and smiley and doing things with that mouth of his and he's Sitting Creatively (TM), which seems to have been a thing. So it looks like more of a candid shot.

Or then it's just him thinking of Jaffar being daydreamy about the princess, in which case, please hold my feels.

Click through for a huge version and here for a super-ginormous 1200 dpi version. Not that I'm obsessed. Normally, I tend to fix contrast on my scans because it also help drown a lot of grit in the shadowy bits and I won't have to do as much cleaning up--something that takes several hours anyway because we're talking about tens of thousands of little spots of dust and scratches, especially on 70-year old photos like these. But I couldn't do that here because it would've drowned out all that lovely costume detail and also, HOW WERE THIS MAN'S EYES ACTUALLY REAL? You rarely get a gorgeous light blue eyes/black lashes combo like that (I'm sure Philip Glenister is crying somewhere because he gets close, but Connie's lash length is out of this world). Also, tiny tiny waist and broad bony shoulders and oh god, I think I'm going to have to have a lie-down.

BUT GUYS

I GOT FUCKING FEEDBACK ON A FIC BASED ON A MOVIE FROM 70 YEARS BACK

THERE IS A GOD
